After a while, when news had got out, Mariya knocked on Finn's door. She had heard of his injuries and hoped he was alright.

Finn was laying in bed, reading a book propped up by pillows. A black hound had its head laying in his lap. He had no shirt on, and large red claw marks and other incidental scratches showed on his torso. When he put the book down, it revealed a large gash, just beginning to scar, over his right eye.
"Hello Mariya," he said. "Thanks for visiting! You're the first."

"Am I?"
She seemed surprised and slightly pleased by the revelation. She walked forward to stand by the bed.
"Oh, well, I heard that you were wounded and I had to know if you were alright. I brought you some oranges. The servants had just come back from the market when I heard."
She offered him a handful of oranges.
"That's a nasty gash. Have you been given milk of the poppy?"

Finn shook his head, "No," he replied, "I don't want any. Clouds your mind. Milk of poppy, I mean, not oranges" he laughed slightly and nodded at the oranges, and Sable lifted her head and watched Mariya with care.
"Thank you," he added.

"It's alright. I wanted to bring something but I didn't know what," she said awkwardly. "it must hurt awfully, though. You should have a cup of wine, at least. I could pour you one, if you lke? Or peel you an orange?"

Finn laughed, "My hands work, Mariya, don't worry," to show her he was capable, he began peeling his oranges. "Have you seen any of the lords yet? The one's in town for the festival?" he asked.

She shook her head.
"No! Nobody has bothered to tell me anything about them. Who is here?"

"Lord Hightower, his brothers, Lord Stark, Lord Redwyne? I heard the King himself was coming, but I don't know."

"Oh. I didn't know," she sighed. "I knew guests were coming, but not who. No, I've not met them. It's most unfortunate. But I doubt they'd pay any attention to me anyway. Do you know why they are here?"

"For the festival, and I assume for other things as well," Finn replied, "it's hard for me to find out very much, I've been busy." he laughed.

"Oh yes. You must tell me about it. What exactly happened to get you wounded?"
She perched at the far end of the bed so she didn't loom over him, but wasn't close enough as to make either of them potentially uncomfortable."

"I was asked by Maester Lymon to put together a hunt. The kennel master told me of a pair of lions around here. I thought they would be perfect for the King and his entourage to hunt. Turns out, I ended up being hunted. They killed the forester, and most of the dogs. We got separated. I found the Lion's den, and thought that Anthony was inside. I assumed he would go in after the dogs, but apparently he is not so crazy as I." Finn laughed. "Sable here saved me, or I her, or perhaps both."

Mariya reached down and stroke the dog.
"Brave creature. She deserves a reward, As do you, perhaps. You must have had to be very brave, Finn. What happened to the lions?"

"The one who did this, I took his eye out," Finn said, "But we just barely escaped from the cave, so presumably they are still there. We will still have our hunt. Maybe better men will bring them down."
