There were two similarly attired guards outside, by they didn't say anything as she ducked inside.
There a woman wearing a conservative cut business suit and a white lab coat was typing furiously into some kind of pad. She looked up at Morrigan approached.
"Can I help you?" She asked.

"Hello," she said. "I'm Morrigan. Are you Carpenter? I was told you were looking for an assistant and I need work."
She made herself smile.
"I'm new to the city."

"I'm Doctor Susan Carpenter," the woman agreed. She eyed Morrigan's garb questionably... "Just Morrigan?" she asked. "Curious. What can you do?"

"I can write and do figures, use computers. All kinds of things," Morrigan answered, unperturbed the scrutiny since she was used to it now. "What do you need doing?"

"I don't need anything like that, Carpenter replied breezily. She frowned, "You mind traveling?"

IC: Carpenter scrunched up her nose with displeasure. "I see." She said, sounding unsure of herself now.

OOC - last time was at least 4 years ago and I didn't get the job  Morrigan was confused. "The guards said you needed help," she said. "I really want the job." |

OOC: That explains a lot. Never tell the interviewer any reason why you can't do the job. If you need a map or directions, just make sure you get them AFTER you've been hired.
IC: Carpentered sighed. "Alright. But I expect you'll come to work more appropriately attired in the future. Meanwhile, I need you to go down to 1568 Franklin. You'll meet a man there named Thompson. He'll have a package for you. Get it, and bring it straight back here."

"Very good," She said. "You'll also need an Id badge and such things, from Administration, but you can handle that before or after, that's up to you."
