"I was not aware of that though I should have assumed that were the case." Gregor said, he was visibly angry with himself. Here he thought he had done well and in reality he had failed.
"I had a feeling as much and was going to offer to escort the shipment but then I thought, why would Lord Redwyne openly defy the Hand of the King? He and his house are on shaky ground as it is, it would be madness to do so. Pardon me for saying but Lord Garnet is known for dealing harshly with those who oppose him."

"Gregor... Lord Redwyne's father was against the Garnet in the first Rose war, but in the second one they had learned their lesson and marched on the Tyrells." Lymon said.

"I am aware of that but I don't believe he is a willing ally. His family marched against the Tyrell's to preserve their house, not out of frienship. The writing was on the parchment, they new the presumed outcome." Gregor rubbed his chin. "So then why has Lord Redwyne refused to honor his word? Why would he refuse to deliver the wine as he has promised?"

"I have no idea... and if this was a matter greater then wine I would investigate myself instead of dispatching a loyal retainer." Lymon replied.

A loyal retainer, is that how Maester Lymon thought of him? Gregor wanted to explore that thought though now was not the time.
So many thoughts raced through Gregor's head. Too many to give voice to. "Perhaps this does transcend beyond wine, maybe Lord Redwyne is prodding the proverbial sleeping bear. Maybe he wants Lord Garnette to react. Mayhaps this is just the spark that will lignite a conflagration? It might be time to foster a Redwyne at Hightower." Gregor paused for a moment.
"Do you speak with your brother Mox often? Perhaps he has some insight to share?" Gregor figured that Lymon had his own spies, but surely Mox's crew was better suited to this type of work.

"I am not sure. I will have him look into if it is beyond you." Lymon said.

Gregor looked shocked for a moment, well that answered one question. "I do not think it beyond me." He lied, he was way over his head. "I...I did not think you would trust me to do so. These are delicate matters. The Gods only know what might be uncovered."

Lymon said, "Gregor... let us for the moment pretend this is a situation whose only import is the missing wine. Leave anything else to myself, and Mox. You worry about acquiring the wine."

Gregor was trying to wrap his head around his new mission. How was he to go about this. "Is there anyone that you can think of that I can trust that might be able to assist me? What about coin, I may need to loosen a few tongues."

Lymon thought, and then opened a drawer, and took out a bag, and threw it to Gregor, "That should be enough."

Gregor caught the pouch of coins. "What about a companion? A trusted spy in your or your brother's employ, someone adept at seeing and hearing others without being seen? One of the other fosterlings perhaps." Gregor needed to acquire the wine and discover the reason for Lord Redwyne's defiance.

"You may recruit who you need." Lymon said. "Among the fosterlings."

Gregor nodded in thanks. "Have you any advice for me?"

"Be fast. The King arrives soon." Lymon replied.

"I will storm the Arbor and retrieve the wine if necessary..." Gregor said followed by a smile. "and I will discover the reason for his defiance while I am at it."
