Finn laughed, "It's not a question of feeling comfortable Mariya," Finn replied, "I just don't know what it is I'll need your help on yet and I don't want to waste a perfectly good favor!"

She laughed with him.
"Alright. That's fair, I think. We can talk about it when the time comes. But let's just say this...those of us of the Reach should stick together for our own advantage. EsSpecially those of us whose family have a chequered past."

"A wise thought," Finn said with a nod, "Thank you for seeking me out Mariya. It was a good that we talked, and I would not have had the fortitude to seek you out on my own."

"Oh. Well now you know you could, if you wanted to," she told him, smiling again. "I find I'm most comfortable with our own. I don't feel at ease with our companions who aren't from the Reach. For now, though, I'd best go practice my sword work. Good day, Finn."

"And good day to you Mariya, and good luck." He said, as he opened the door for her to depart.

Maerys had been laying down for sometime, he was exhausted. Ser Bart's burial had been nice, but Maerys had to stand at attention because he was the squire.
He sat up and looked at Finn,"I guess we're sharing a room now." They had been for a week but Maerys hadn't seen much of Varner,"Haven't really had a chance to get to know you?"

"Funny that," Finn agreed, "But very true, How are you Maerys?"

"Relatively good. Ser Bart, the man I had been squiring for died, and we buried him early this morning. But I don't feel like moping about, how about you? Have you had to talk to Lymon yet?"

He laughed and grabbed his pants, putting them on he said,"I had the exact same description for it."

"What did he talk to you about?" Finn asked.

He looked thoughtful for a second,"The first part of the conversation was a sort of him asking me questions and me doing my best to respond, mostly about life. What about you?"?

"It was all about my future, what I wanted to do with my life, that sort of thing." Finn said.

"Well what do you want to do with your life?" He wasn't trying to be nosy, he was just curious.
