Aaryn moved over to the wine, not out of a desire to get drunk, but rather because he could think of nothing else to do. He gave a nod to the groups gathered in the area as he picked up a goblet.

"Considering some of the other outfits here, I'd say I'm in fine company." Tybalt replied lightly with a motion to Tyrell's horse hat and Zach's trebuchet costume. "What is a costume party without a touch of the bizarre?"
He gave a quick spin to show off his costume and a twirl of his pickaxe cane. "I am the mountains of the cyvasse table, arguably the most important piece. The strategy of the game is decided by their placement. They cannot be ignored, only endured." he explained, as if telling a joke. "No matter how obnoxious they become." he added with a wink. "Our house's connection to the mountains aside, it seemed a fitting choice."

When Lara remained silent Gregor studied his goblet for a moment then looked around the room before his gaze returned to her. "Were you working on your father's accounts or copying a manuscript?"

Baelor Stark, heir to Winterfell, entered the hall. He wore a handsome black outfit with a grey dragon head brooch on his chest, signifying the cyvasse piece of course. When he entered he kissed Sapphire's hand, before giving her a wink.

"I have no talent for small talk," Mariya informed Nym and Gerold.
She shifted her feet away from Gerold. They were covered in black velvet slippers stitched with silver to match her dress.
"Please be careful. I don't want to use my slippers. But I'm thankful someone at least understands. I don't mind talking to people but I'm better at it when I'm not at a party."

"Reckless disregard for his family and their wishes," Jothos muttered, swirling his red and looking deep down into it. "I think it's odd they still feel the need to post guards at his door, he is almost a grown man," Dany said. "You know they don't get along that well to consider each other's wishes. I probably would. If I had any family left, that is," she told, trying hard not to look at Rycherd Tyrell's ridiculous horse hat.

"I know very few who could endure you, that is true, but I knew what you are, I was more asking as to what possessed you." She replied with a smile, "At least you made an effort, unlike Michael here. I do like the gold though, very us."

"Planned? Me?" Baelor asked with a laugh. "Well, maybe some minor disruptions, though you should know that I don't plan these things. Why plan when adventure is best had wildly?"

"Planned? Me?" Baelor asked with a laugh. "Well, maybe some minor disruptions, though you should know that I don't plan these things. Why plan when adventure is best had wildly?" Sapphire sighed, "I can not help but plan every thing. It is my curse." She smiled at him, "That is why I keep you around to make my life interesting. Not dull." She looked up and glared as Joss entered the Ball. He smiled and waved at his sister as he entered. Joss Hightower was wearing a blue shirt, and black pants with black boots. And like most of his siblings he had not tried to follow the theme at all.

Baelor was about to reply to Sapphire when he saw Joss. "Ah, typical..." He grinned. "Excuse me, Sapph, I will speak to you later." His grin widened and he entered the ball, making a beeline for Lynesse Bolton.
"Ness! Already here?" He chuckled. "Then again it's me who is always late, isn't it?"

Jothos was framing further disapproving words when he noticed Dany's averted gaze. He managed to stop himself from snorting wine out all over her, putting his hand in front of his mouth as a precaution. "Your cousin is wearing," he paused, finding the right words, "a fine, fine piece of headwear. Clearly style is not hereditary." Seemingly as an afterthought he added "or perhaps it is just limited to that side of the family."

Maerys nodded," I agree, but if he dies then Michael will inherit. Not sure if he is the best choice for the next Lord Hightower." He finished his cup, and was feeling more relaxed by the minute. "Is that the heir to Highgarden." He had followed Jothos's gaze and was disturbed by Tully's condescending tone.

"What little effort Michael does not expend in the training yard, I'm sure he had to use keeping you out of trouble the last few years. What room is there for keeping up with each theme ball Sapphire decides to throw?" Tybalt said lightly, turning his attention to the second Hightower son.
"I must thank you once more for keeping an eye on her while I was at Casterly Rock, Michael. Though I wonder how you found the time to feed yourself with all your other duties."
