The yard where Ser Derrick Flowers the master-of-arms trains the young men of the keep.
Michael Hightower practically lives here. He trains when ever he has an extra moment.

Aaryn hurried into the yard. He had a slight headache, and was glad he'd stopped drinking after his conversation with Rodrik. He stood at the edge of the yard waiting for the others to arrive.

Zach makes his way out to the training yard. He is slightly sulking due to being punished the night before. He is wearing his steel breast plate over a grey-green tunic. He had brought his pine buckler shield that has the white crab over a grey-green field of his house. Once he finds the swords he searches to find a braavosi blade or a short sword to train with.

Rodrik enters the training yard with his hair pointing in every imaginable direction. Relieved to see that he was not the last to arrive, he brings his hand up to his temple and starts to massage it. It seems last night's festivities had left him with a pounding headache, but he was relieved to notice that the fresh air was making it subside.
Moving over to the training swords, Rodrik selects a simple longsword and a plain wooden buckler shield. Links of chain mail can be seen under his brown tunic.

Derek pointed at the three arrivals, and said, "You three take turns sparring with one another."

Aaryn, who had equipped himself with a training longsword and shield upon arriving glanced over at Rodrik questioningly.

Baelor arrived in the yard, which was a rarity. He stood there watching the proceedings, not entirely sure as to what he was supposed to be doing.

Derek looked at Baelor, "You finally decided it is time to make your father proud?" His smile took any sting out of the words. He walked over, and added, "I have never seen you here once since I took over."

"I never came here," Baelor said, looking over the boys training before nodding at Derek. "I haven't even held a sword before."

Derek laughed, "Well that seems like a failure of the previous master of arms." He studied the Stark, "Do you want to learn the sword? I could teach you a different weapon. Spear, Sickle, flail, star. Axe."

"Well, my father will want me to have Ice one day," Baelor replied. "So I'll have to learn the sword I think." He nodded again.

Derek nodded, "Well the go grab one. And make sure it is not a real blade. You will end up chopping your balls off with a real blade." He hooked his thumbs into his belt, and looked at the weapon racks full of training blades.

Baelor went over to grab a blunted longsword, ignoring the large two handed weapons for now. His arms were like sticks, inclined to snap at the weight of such a weapon. "Now what?" He asked, holding the weapon awkwardly.

Maerys came down from Ser Bart's room, he was white faced. Not sure who to talk to he decided it was best to tell Ser Derek. "Derek, I uhm",he was feeling slightly sick,"Ser Bart is dead." He felt slightly better.
