This game is set in the Household of Lord Garnet Hightower, the hand to the King. Garnet has been hand for over twenty years now, and hand to three Kings.
Twenty years ago the King was named Edric Baratheon. His wife was Queen Lilia who was the Aunt to Lord Garnet. Garnet and the King's son Tomas had always been the best of friends. The two were nigh inseparable. Times in the land were good, and peace had reigned for twenty years.
Then the King discover that Lord Tyrell, and his Queen were having an affair. In a fit of rage he had the the Lord imprisoned, and then clipped.
The Lords brother summoned up his troops, and marched towards King's Landing. The King's current Hand Lord Yorick Dondarion summoned up forces from the Stormlands, and rode to intercept, but they were brushed aside. Lord Dondarrion was killed in the battle.
Just as the Tyrells were settling in for a siege they were taken in the rear by a force from the reach lead by Lord Garnet. He routed the Roses, and sent them running home. He captured the leader of the rebel forces, and presented him to the King. Garnet was rewarded by being named the King's Hand, and named Warden of the South.
After a few years the sparks left over from this rebellion turned into a full blown war. Several of the Tyrell allies rose up in rebellion. The Arryns, and Tullys with a couple of houses in the West joined with the Tyrells, and again marched to war.
This war lasted three years, and cost the Kingdom two kings for both King Edric, and his son Tomas were struck down in the same battle. Tomas lingered long enough to name Lord Garnet his regent, and then passed. King Dedrick was still an infant sucking at his mom's teat when he was crowned.
Garnet eventually won the war, and took hostages to foster at his Tower in Oldtown from each of the rebel families. Soon after he married off two sisters to the Lannisters and Martells. Allying himself with those houses. He insisted on taking in fosterlings to make those he had feel more at home. Soon his household held a surprising amount of children.
The fosterlings were raised by his wife Gennifyr, and his brother a Maester named Lymon. The two ran the keep of the Old Tower.
Years passed, and the Fosterlings grew into young men and woman, and more came. Almost all are young adults now. Just a year ago Gennifyr died from an illness. Garnet has just remarried, and sent his new young wife back to the Hightower.
