Myranda raised both eyebrows in surprise as the wall opened, she had only been wondering if there were more interesting rooms in the house. She let out a small laugh and smiled, still looking somewhat surprised,
"That is rather clever," Myranda said, grinning, but looked suspiciously at where the wall parted as she followed him inside, as if it was going to close on her.

Piers was inside lighting a lamp. There was a long thin hallway stretching down between the walls. "That leads to the front rooms, and you can spy into them." He motioned to a ladder close by them. "This leads upstairs. Go ahead I will seal the door."

"The walls literally have eyes here then," she said, as she she started to swiftly climb up the ladder, waiting beside it, so as not to move on alone in the dark, she did not think she could be too careful here, the gods only knew what other surprises there might be.

Piers joined her shortly, illuminating the room. Three lamps hung on the wall of a large bedroom. There were two wardrobes, and three chests laid about the room, and a massive bed. "This is where we will sleep, in an attempt to capture any assassins." He walked to the wardrobe, and opened it, and slowly hung his cloak.

"And how can assassins be captured from here?" She asked, looking round the room, but not moving from her spot.

"The actual bed room is through that wall. Once they attack, I will counter attack. You stay back. If any survive I will question them." Piers replied, "At night I will set a trap."

"You seem sure than you will be doing the surviving." She said, smirking, "Not that I am doubting you or anything, but that Inn is looking very comfortable right now." She joked, winking at him.

Piers walked over to her, and pulled her into a tight embrace. "And forgo the pleasures of my company. That seems ludicrous. Did you not just learn I can cook." He lowered his head for a deep kiss.

Myranda kissed back for a while before pulling away and smiling, "I think acting a bit insane just makes things more interesting, but it would be such a shame to waste that lovely stewing duck," she said, and kissed him lightly before looking round the room, "can you see every room in your house through secret passages like this?"

"Almost." Piers smiled wickedly, "What did you have in mind?" He winked at her, and pulled her closer, his arms tightening.

"Patience is a virtue," She said, grinning, "What makes you think I had anything in mind? How is the duck doing?" She asked, biting her bottom lip while still grinning.

Piers pushed her back onto the bed, and smiled, "It will take an hour to stew. We have some time." He removed his shirt, and joined her.
