"Fine, then, but I'll wear a wig and paint up my face with rouge and soot on my eyebrows and so forth. I'll take no chances. And we'll take my weapons and my ordinary clothing with us in our baggage."
She pause and pulled out of Gerard's arms, more confident now.
"We daren't take the gate to the Roseroad. A ship would be quicker but surely too dangerous if we took ship direct to Sunspear. How about..."
She stopped again, trying to remember what she knew of the geography of the realm she had studied as a girl.
"We could take the Kingsroad south to Storms End, then cross west to Summerhall, take the Boneway south to Yronwood then cross the sands east to Ghost Hill. If we needed somewhere to stay whilst in the Stormlands, my uncle Uthor is wed to Lord Morrigen's sister. Arthur is their only son and he squired for Lord Morrigen as a boy. They won't be best pleased to learn that he is a captive at the Red Keep.."
