A field full of targets is set up before the archers. Each archer is given five arrows. Each target is worth a certain amount of points, the easy ones low points, and the difficult shots higher points, the winner is the man who scores the most points.
The first target is a strawman quite close to the archer with a crown atop of its head. 1 point.
The Second target is a Strawman with a bale of wool made out to be a storm cloud covering its lower half. It is close to the archer though. 2 points
The Third target is a Strawman standing in a field of flowers. There is a rose sticking out of the left sleeve. It is a good distance away though. 3 points
The Fourth is a strawman behind a pile of rocks, and in his hand is a pouch of gold. He stands far enough away, and if you cut the bag of gold from his hand the archer gets to keep it. 4 points.
The fifth strawman is atop a large pole, with a horned helmet. It is one of the furtherest targets though, and the wind blows it about. 5 points
The Sixth strawman is standing behind a white wall, and has a wolf's head. 6 points.
The Seventh Straw man is standing with a spear over his shoulder, and a chainmail jerkin in a patch of sand. 7 points.
The eighth strawman is standing on a rock in a pond, and they have rigged a fountain to spray from between his legs, and arc into the pond. 8 points.
Each man must take step up, and announce which five shots he intends to shoot. Then I will roll to determine accuracy.

Ser Ranulf Redwyne approaches the targets, giving an amiable nod to Lord Celtigar. Ranulf does not appear to take the competition very seriously as he hands his wineskin to his squire and takes up a tall golden longbow. He calls out his targets.

The second shot bounced off the wall. The third shot hit the man in the arm. The four shot pierced the man's chest And his final shot splashed into the pond. Lord Celtigar is awarded 6 points. |

The second shot hit the bag of coins, but the did not fall loose. The third shot hit the strawman in the groin. The four shot bounced off the white wall The last shot missed into the pond. The fourth shot deflects off the white wall. The fifth shot clangs off the armor. Lyanne Bolton just leaves with three points. |

Ranulf laughs as his first four shots fly wild but his last shot strikes true. He watches the other competitors make their shots. He smiles as Lyanne Bolton misses the majority of the target. "I thought you northern girls were well versed in this sort of thing," he smiles.

"I make it that she hit two targets to your one, Ser. Perhaps she did not drink beforehand" he nodded to the man's wineskin.

Lyanne sticks a tongue out at Ranulf, having dressed in simple riding leather for this occasion. "No need to fight over me, boys," She says, giving both Ranulf and Symon a smile. "Otherwise my cousin Benjen here will turn you into hedgehogs!"
