Hallis nodded. "It kind of depends on the House. Winterfell, for example, is famous for the hot spring water that's pumped through its walls. My home at Barrowton Castle has no such luxury though, so we must depend on stouter clothing and fire." "That just makes you all the more tough, I suppose," Marq answered, nodding, "Where in the north is Barrowton?"

Allard bowed deeply to Helyn, "You are Lord Caron's daughter? We respect him greatly, he was one of those who rescued my father at the Siege of Casterly Rock."

"I have been," he said, pausing for the right word, "Occupied. Perhaps when my children are of an age to manage themselves, I will, though for now I seek only to better them. Though if I marry again, I should hope it not for money and politics," he smiled warmly. Ellyn nodded "An honorable goal. I suppose now that your succession is assured, your father will be more than happy to indulge you a second wife chosen through love. It can be a lonely life without a companion, I think. My sister never married and ended up joining the silent sisters, much to my father's displeasure"

Patrek nodded in agreement. "The Silent Sisters. The woman's Night Watch. Both dreary, lonely, hard lives. But they are necessary to be certain," he smiled though it did not reach his eyes.He looked back to the dwarves.
"Though I must say, it is hard to find available women at my age," he chuckled. "And I find the young ones to be dull company."

"You know Lord Allard, Lord Victor Jast asked for the Lady's hand in marriage already, after just a few short words," Summer giggled, but she was in truth watching Allard's eyes. "Seems rather flighty for a master of whisperers, even if she is one of the most beautiful women here."

Allard admired Helyn and said, "Jast has good taste at least." He smiled, and looked at Summer, "I would think a Caron is out if his reach though."

Allard laughed, "Hardly. And I have the mind of a true knight. There are no dark corners in here." He taps his skull lightly.
