After the page had announced them, Myranda and Marq entered the ballroom, and did an in unison sweep of the place, identical fake smiles on their faces as they took it in, each raising an eyebrow at the grandeur of the place and each thinking the Lannisters were more than trying to compensate for something.
As they scanned the crowds, both of them saw Lord Piers Bettley dancing with a pretty looking girl in a fur cloak. Myranda's smile turned to a smirk while Marq began frowning.
"See, busy. Let us go and get something to eat while we wait, eh?" Marq said, irritation in his voice.
"We?"Myranda responded incredulously, "You're not here as my protector Marq, by all means, go."
"I'd rather not," He responded sullenly, " I think I should stick around,"
"Thinking is not very good for you, Marq, I thought Maester Leo told you about that." She grinned up at him briefly before turning to look back to the dance.
"Well, What does he know." he replied, not getting the joke right away and then glared at her, "Don't talk to me as if I am a child, Myranda."
"Don't act like one then, besides, you are my younger brother-"
"Thirteen minutes does not count as being younger," He said, slightly louder and kept glaring,
"My Lordship says otherwise," she said, mischievously and walked forwards before Marq could put his hand out to stop her.
She walked up to the Master of Coins and the girl he was dancing with and put a hand on his shoulder, "Would you mind awfully if I cut in?" she asked, smiling at Summer as Marq followed a few steps, but held back, not wanting to run onto the dance floor after her, and contented himself to looking sulkily off to the side.
