Ser Patrek Frey, at their fore, hails the guard.

"I am Ser Patrek Frey, heir to the Crossing. We come to speak on matters of great importance," he called back up. "Your lord would wish to speak with me," he added.

"I shall summon him then." The man turned and waved for a paige to go running.

Patrek smiled inwardly at the thought of the Lord being summoned by the guard of the gate. Otherwise he waited atop his horse, observing the state of things surrounding Seaguard.

Almost a full hour passed, until the gates opened again, A tall dark haired man with ten men-at-arms at his back walked out to speak with Frey. The man was the Castellan of Seagard Ser Tystan.

"Greetings, Ser Trystan," he called. Patrek had sat upon many of his father's meeting and letters, as to learn the workings of the world around him.
The wait had been irritating, but he was not without company. Aside, complaining would gain nothing.
"Fine day for a stroll, is it not?"

"It is hotter then I like, and I prefer a crisp wind." The man replied, "Why are you here Frey?"

"My party is venturing south, and my father thought it due time we spoke of matters concerning this side of the Mountains. We had sent a raven, did you not receive it?" he asked politely.

"I did not hear word of a raven, but perhaps it was reported directly to my lord before he left for King's Landing." Trystan replied.

"It is a shame we have missed him. No matter, we will see him there. Would you do me the service of sending a raven ahead of us, to be sure he is expecting us?" Patrek asked easily.

Tristan raised an eyebrow, "I will warn him of your plans as soon as I reach the Maestar. Do you plan on leaving immediately, you are of course welcome in Seagard."

"I have no desire to ride at night. Your hospitality is well taken, Ser Trystan," he nodded.

Tristan bows to the Frey, and says, "If you would do the honor of following me."
