Excellent post for the Reach Report, Florent. We obviously won't be able to individually talk to every house on the list, but some are bannerhouses of the others, and if we get enough of the bigger houses together the rest should follow. The only question is how many we should shoot for.

Yeah a lot of the Houses on there are probably just one lone guy in a cave with a dog, but I tried making a list of the 'main' houses in the Reach and it became quite hard trying to pick them out... so I stuck them all down for now. The 'West Reach' houses are all those that were classed as 'Far Reach' in previous incarnations of the game, the 'East Reach' houses are the rest. Not overly useful but it gives some kind of idea of the geography.
I'm wondering if we should ask Smith for some IC details that would be common knowledge to flesh that post out a little - I mean, we don't even know how old Lord Barrett is yet this is something that would probably be reasonably known already to a lot of people IC. If we have these simple details given to us we won't have to go and hunt them down IC.

In response to how many we should go for - we've already got the might of the Arbor and Brightwater Keep - some Lords would find that hard to ignore. If we get Horn Hill and the Shields, the West of the Reach is looking pretty strong. If we get the West, the East will surely follow.
I guess for comparison we could look at how many Reach Lords signed the original note of rebellion in the first incarnation of the game. So long as this doesn't become Fossoway's Folly part deux....

I was looking through that list to try to pick out the "great" lords of the Reach, based on the books and LoW, and this is what I came up with. Of course it could be wrong, but I think it looks fairly solid.
Florent Fossoway Redwyne Hightower Tarly Varner Rowan Ashford?
Which gives us a pretty solid base. If we can get, say, three of the others to throw their hats in the ring, I think we can reasonably expect most of the minor lord NPCs to follow. And of course there are also the Tyrells, which are kind of a wild card. Since most of their leaders were either killed or sent to the Wall, whoever is left is probably still a Lannister crony (are there even any Tyrells left other than Barrett?). A general Tyrell family tree could be useful.
As for Fossoway's Folly part 2... Should we try to make nice with the Royces? The Hand is the guy who will ultimately make the call whether we are illegal or legitimate.

Yeah I think reaching out to House Royce would be a logical next step once we find support.

Ok so I think I'm about finished at Horn Hill - it's a bit like getting blood from a stone, but I think the basic assumption is that House Tarly would support action, but only if they deemed the support for it to be strong enough. The biggest houses in the Reach all seem to support the idea, just need a little push. I say it's time we went over-the-top and make a move of some sort. But what to do?

I think the logical step is to call a council and invite the lords of the Reach, then publicly declare our intent. The only question is if we want to pursue aid from the Royces at all first.
