A small tavern situated not far from the King's Gate. It has two stories and is made of wood and stone. A wooden sign hangs over the main door, with what looks to be a dragon but it was so smeared that it was hard to see if one didn't look long enough.

Mark pushed the door open and led Summer inside.
"This is the first tavern I found in the city. Take a seat and I'll call for food and drink. Will you have wine or ale?"

"Ale, if it isn't swill," Summer replied, making herself comfortable by putting her feet up on the long wooden bench.

"It's not, unless they've changed suppliers since the last time I came here."
He went over to the bar and ordered the barmaid to bring two tankards of ale and whatever was being served that day. After, he went back to Summer and sat next to her.
"I swear your presence lights up this room," he said. "I've always liked it here but I've never come with a woman. It seems you make all the difference."

A bit further down the bench, Dagos Yronwood was nursing a sore head.
"Gods be damned, I'll never take another drink so long as I live," he said, sipping from a rather sizeable mug of wine.

Summer nodded, and raised her flagon in silent toast to Toland, and then sipped it daintily.

he toasted her in return.
"So, is the ale to your taste?"

"It'll do," she said, resting her palms across the top of her flagon, and then her head upon her hands. She stared at Mark Toland, unblinking.

He looked back at her for a long moment then turned to see who the other man present was,
"What is it?" He asked, looking back at Summer. "You see that man yonder, he's a Dornishman, I think I know him from somewhere. Want to meet him?"

Summer shrugged, "If you like," She said.

He got up and walked over to Dagos.
"Greetings," he said. "Care to join me and the lady?"
He indicated Summer sitting at their bench.

Dagos stared bleary-eyed at the man. "You're a Toland, aren't you? What in the seven hells are you doing here?"

"I'm Mark Toland. Mother sent me to see how things are in the capital. She doesn't care for Kings Landing herself, but she likes to know the lay of the land," he explained, "How about you?"

"I'm cousin to your cousins, the Yronwoods," Dagos said, rubbing his temples, "a sorry lot they are. I am Dagos."
He looked over to where Summer was sat. "Who's that? She's too beautiful for you, man, cut your losses and we'll go buy a couple of cheap whores together."

"I don't want a cheap whore. I want her, if she'll have me," Mark insisted. "Her name is Summer Snow. I've never met any woman, trueborn or bastard, with a name I liked half so well. I like her too, she's outrageous. Come join us?"
