House Fossoway of Cider Hall
The red-apple Fossoways is an old and proud house, that has served Highgarden and the Iron Throne for several hundred years. Their seat, Cider Hall, is situated at the fork of the Mander and Cockleswent between Ashford and Highgarden. Surrounding the seat is the small town of Appleton, where most trade that the red-apple Fossoways are involved in takes place. They are most famous for their mulled cider that comes from their many orchards.
As most of the houses in the Reach, the red-apple Fossoways joined the Tyrells and Baratheons against the Targaryens in the War of Stag and Dragon, but was quickly defeated and was forced to lay down their swords. This is something that Lord Willem frets about and has his men training from morning to sun, letting them find little rest and he has kept himself secluded at Cider Hall for the last year or so. He lets most of the daily business in the hands of his eldest son, Ser Bransen Fossoway or his younger brother, Ser Bernard Fossoway.
