"I'll go," said Vivian. "And so shall several members of my house. I cannot approve of meeting with Lord Royce and yet I see that we must be seen to do what is right even if his conditions should prove unpalatable to us."

Perros turned to Viviane. "You will be a welcome addition to the delegation, goodsister."
He then looked at Myranda. "Perhaps Lady Myranda would consider joining us? I would appreciate the alternate viewpoint you hold. It's no sense us all agreeing with each other, is it? Though when before the Lord Hand we will of course have to present a united front."

"Of course I shall come if you should like," she said, smiling a little "I should not say anything untoward, I assure you, it's important we appear as united as we are," she nodded her agreement, "All that matters is the future of Dorne, how we acquire that matters little."

Emelia nodded, "And take Santagar along as well. He could use some fresh air."
Santagar said nothing, but openily sneered at the Princess.

Viviane spoke up.
"Princess, migth we seek to influence other members of the Court at Sunspear, men - and mayhaps women - tht Royce knows, who might be farsighted enough to see that Dornish independence is a blessing to the realm, especially when compared with the trouble that will come if we are not allowed to govern ourselves?"
She looked round at her fellow lords to see what they thought.

Lady Jordayne spoke up quickly, "Royce has no friends here. We are all loyal to the Martells."

"Of course we are. I did not mean to suggest otherwise," Viviane said. "But does anyone here have friends at Kings Landing as well? Relations through marriage outside of Dorne, mayhaps? My own house is linked to House Wylde and House Morrigen. I would be pleased to seek aid from those lords if my princess wishes, though I cannot say if they have any influence in Kngs Landing. But I think we would be wise to maintain any such friendships as we may possess. There may be some lords who will understand that it does the Iron Throne more good to leave us in peace than otherwise."

Emelia looked at Perros Yronwood, "Do you agree with such a notion?" She raised an eyebrow slowly.

"If anyone who is loyal to Dorne also has the ear of Lord Royce, it is certainly something to consider, however those two qualities do seem to be somewhat... contradictory. It may be best to keep all discussion of our plans amongst our own people for the nonce. I do not doubt that your relations to House Wylde and House Morrigen is solid and true, Viviane, but perhaps it would be wise to avoid including them at this point in the proceedings. If you agree, goodsister?"

Emelia turned a patronizing look on Viviane. "I do agree with Perros, he has such a keen mind, does he not."

"He does indeed," Viviane said slowly, annoyed that her efforts were to be disregarded. "I would but assist, princess, and I am conscious that the strength of my loyalty to Sunspear may be somewhat overlooked by those with more men to pledge and names of higher renown. House Toland lacks military might and so we have been inclined to make friends among our neighbours rather than making war with them. I fear to be overlooked and yet I will do whatever small thing I can to assist in this matter."

"Your devotion and contribution to Dorne is well known, Viviane, think not that any would belittle it, and your peaceable nature is to your credit. Your assistance in this matter will be most appreciated."

Emelia nodded, "Now we need the five best warriors in Dorne. We must show well at the tourney."

"I'll be happy to nominate Arthur though I know only that he is the best warrior of Ghost Hill," said Viviane.

"My bastard son Alario will fight, he is skilled warrior indeed, and has a thirst for victory."
