The worm's new second -
1) Character Name: Ser Walter Sarsfield
2) Character Age: 25 (b.501)
3) Character Nationality: Westerlands
4) Byname: None
5) Character Skills:
Noteworthy: Swordsmanship Noteworthy: Battle Apprentice: Leadership Apprentice: Horsemanship Novice: Deception Novice: Chivalry Beginner: Ambition Beginner: Lance
6) History: The younger of the old Lord Sarsfield's two sons by two years, Walter has lead a less interesting life than his older brother Harwin, who journeyed in the Free Cities for a protracted period in his youth. To that extent, it could be construed that Walter is the less interesting sibling. However, this is not strictly true. Inside Walter reside feelings of jealousy, mainly at his brother, whom he dearly loves, but secretly despises for his position of birth. Walter has always felt he has more to offer than his social position can give him, however he does not have any outstanding talent to warrant this belief. He is an average knight, but no more.
He has lead the life expected of an average knight of a small house. Relatively quiet, but comfortable. In his early twenties he began representing house Sarsfield at large tourneys, however did not achieve great glory, nor any great disgrace. In addition, he is a veteran of various military campaigns, having helped heap revenge on the rebels Andry, Horas and Tristeza in their respective years. He was a squire to Ser Verden Turnberry during the Reach Rebellion, however since Ser Verden is an archer, he saw little in the way of danger.
In late 525, a chance meeting with Ser Steffen Lannister on a march between Sarsfield and the Golden Tooth lead him to abandon his current steady way of life, in order to seek out a higher position - something he feels the highly ambitious, yet morally apprehensible man they call 'the worm' can offer him. He has decided to throw the dice - to serve the man loyally and see what happens.
7) Description: A man of moderate build and height (5'11"), he resembles a man of house Lannister in that he is relatively handsome, has perfectly blonde hair and a peachy blonde fuzz that serves as a beard should he go without shaving for a while (something he tries to avoid).
8) Reputation: Unknown in the main. A minority may recognise him from the one or two insignificant performances he has put in in large scale tournaments, where he has mostly fought in the melee. The longer he spends with Ser Steffen however, the more likely his reputation is likely to grow - and probably not in a positive way.

ooc: As much as I love Osmund, he's just not doing it for me anymore, hence the switch to Danwell Farring as my new second
1) Character Name: Ser Danwell Farring
2) Character Age: 37 (b.489)
3) Character Nationality: Crownlander
4) Byname:
5) Character Skills:
*Expert: Swordsmanship Noteworthy: Battle Apprentice: Stealth Apprentice: Horsemanship *Apprentice: Ambush Novice: Crossbow Beginner: Joust Beginner: Intrigue
6) History: Born to a proud if impoverished family, Ser Danwell was a young and eager squire at court. He had not long received his knighthood at 15 when his whole world was thrown in to turmoil. First of all, he fell in love with Lady Emma, a young maid in waiting to the queen. He was instantly besotted and spent hours in his room composing bad poetry and spending coin he didn't really have on hiring minstrels to sing it to her. Despite this, she returned his love with the doe-eyed affection only the young and naive can truly share. They promised to marry each other as soon as they reached 16 and could be wed. Danwell couldn't be happier - this is when life proceeded to deliver the first of many kicks to the teeth. Emma discovered that her father had promised her in marriage to a noble lord of the court, a lecherous old man of 40 with two widows dead in their graves. Danwell was devastated and appealed to his lord father for help. Sadly they were a small family with little influence and Lady Emma's father had debts to pay and the old lord had promised a massive dowry. Danwell was outraged and marched up to his house, sword in hand and demanded that he fight for her love and honour. In response, the old lord sent his "champion" to deal with the upstart - a grizzled old veteran of many conflicts who rather swiftly poked many holes in Danwell and left him to the tender cares of a maester. By the time he had recovered the wedding and subsequent death of Lady Emma had taken place. Danwell locked himself away in his quarters in his grief and madness and exited a changed man. He rarely seemed to smile anymore and had no fear of death. When the Targaryens returned he picked up his blade with relish and marched with Rodrick's host to Casterly Rock. There he fought like a demon made flesh, but even demons flee dragons and their fire scorched through their ranks until they broke and fled. The stigma of having fought on the wrong side stayed with Danwell and his family and his father died a pauper's death from hypothermia one winter. Danwell drunk himself into a near coma at the funeral and had the misfortune to wake up and find himself married to Lady Eloise, to whom he had (apparently) drunkenly proposed to the same night and found a septon and got wed
Many sad years later, Danwell's luck appeared to change when he became one of the first to join the newly-formed King's Men and due to his battle experience was made it's leader. However his luck, running true to form, ensured that it was only days later that Horas staged his coup and butchered all but a scant handful of his charges. Bitter with rage he escaped into the sewers and out of the city to the Vale. He drank himself into a stupor and would have stayed in that bottle were it not for his friend and second-in-command Patrek Redfort. He roused him and reminded him of his duty. Renewed, if still miserable, Danwell looked over his new recruits protectively and his sense of duty has led him to volunteer for a dangerous mission behind the lines of the enemy.
7) Description: A still erect if aging knight, Ser Danwell has a large peppering of grey in his brown hair. He has a long droopy moustache which hangs down from his upper lips but is otherwise clean-shaved. He is tall but appears shorter due to his perpetual slouch and is generally slim but is beginning to develop a potbelly, though he tries to hide it
8) Reputation: Known as a miserable so-and-so and current commander of the King's Men based in Kings Landing

Nationality: Dornishman
Character Byname: Lord of Snakes
Skills:
Expert: Spear Noteworthy: Ambush Noteworthy: Battle Apprentice: Survival Apprentice: Command Novice: Riding Novice: Stealth Beginner: Battle Tactics Beginner: Sword
History: Quinlan is the bastard son of Lord Wyl's cousin. Being a bastard son is nothing that have affected his life that much, though his father might have concentrated on giving Quinlan warrior skills, rather than political prowess. Sent to Skyreach to live with Lord Quentin Fowler at the age of 8, Quinlan's life as a warrior was set on a early life, so most of his youth was spent with soldiers and knights in the Fowler household. When the Dornish War came, Quinlan was put in command for a small group of Dornish Bastards, that would get the nick name Sand Snakes, as they always seemed to strike out of nowhere and be gone just as quickly again. Quinlan fought in the second battle of Lemonwood, and later at Hellholt. By some luck he managed to survive both battles, and now he roams Dorne, unsure what to do next.
Physical Appearance: Quinlan stands 6'1 feet tall with a lean and muscular body, that has the bronzed skin of Dorne. His face is lined and saturnine, with thin arched eyebrows and large green eyes. He has lustrous brown hair that hangs freely to his shoulders. He rarely smiles, and even less since the battle of Hellholt.

More to come on Kaland Stone. Is this alright so far?
Willam Dondarrion
Age: b. 507 (Currently 19 years of age)
Nationality: Storm’s End
Character Byname: The Pale Fury
Skills:Expert: Swordsmanship Noteworthy: Battle Noteworthy: Stealth Apprentice: Stewardship Apprentice: Tactics Novice: Persuasion Novice: Oration Beginner: Horse Riding Beginner: Charm
History: Physical Appearance: Willam stand’s 5’11 ½” tall. He is of a medium build weighing about 195 lbs with broad shoulders and muscular legs. He is noticeably muscular but not to the point where it impacts his speed. He keeps his brown hair of middling length, but never lets it get past 6” in length (he could never tie it in a ponytail). His features are fair, but he was never overly attractive and often times when he was younger was rather concerned about his pudgy looks. Growing up he was often times regarded as a pudgy and always somewhere between handsome and acceptable. However, over the years as he has slimmed out and his features have developed and he has been gaining more female attention, and recently was married to Helen Royce. He often times wears a small beard of some sort or not (it depends on if he feels like taking care of it), but what design or how well groomed is cast to chance. You are just as likely to see him with a well-trimmed goatee, as you are with a 3 day old shadow of a beard. Kaland Stone wears a small scar under his left eyebrow, which he sustained from a childhood injury. However, this is only noticeable to those closer to him as largely his eyebrow masks it.
Reputation: Willam is an able warrior and soldier especially when he is absolutely driven to fight. He is often times regarded as a very cool-headed person, and a deep thinker. He is the first cousin of Breck Dondarrion and also his close friend. He was never really the best at anything, but he was never really the worst either and has not truly found his path in life (a trait which he himself despises). However, when pushed to the extremes of his anger Willam's temper gives him enormous power he generally would not have, but at great risk. These instances are extremely rare and are usually only after extreme aggravation against him or extreme danger. This is what gave him his nickname the Pale Fury due to the almost bleach white armor he wears. Willam is recently married to young Helen Royce, and won both the melee and the joust at his wedding festival.
( Second )Kaland Stone
Age: b. 507 (Currently 19 years of age)
Nationality: Storm’s End
Character Byname: None
Skills: Noteworthy: Sword and Shield Noteworthy: Armorsmith Apprentice: Stealth Apprentice: Battle Novice: Persuasion Novice: Politics Beginner: Unarmed Beginner: Running
Kaland Stone is Willam's very close friend. He stands about as tall as Willam is of roughly the same build and has dark black hair . Kaland has been Willam's friend since they were children, since Kaland's mother worked for Willam's father. Kaland Stone tends to be a bit more bold than Willam, but also is intelligent enough to know where his boldness ends. The relationship between Kaland Stone and Willam Donarrion is a very close one despite their respective status's in society.

1) Character Name: Ser Mandon Storm
2) Character Age: B. 503 (23)
3) Character Nationality: Stormlands
4) Character Byname: None
5) Character Skills: Expert: War Hammer Noteworthy: Battle Command Noteworthy: Scouting Apprentice: Fist-Fighting Apprentice: Blacksmith Novice: Drinking Novice: Bawdy Singing Beginner: Axe Fighting Beginner: Axe Throwing
6) Character's Second: None
7) Character Personal History: Mandon never knew who his father was and didn’t care to inquire his mother any further than to learn that his father was some Baratheon cousin. He takes pride in his strong build, becoming an apprentice to a blacksmith at an early age. His mother died when he was 12, leaving him fully to the care of the blacksmith at Bronzegate. Being a bastard, and now calling himself the son of a blacksmith, Mandon learned no skill with the blade. Instead he learned to use the weapons of peasants: spears, pole arms, and maces. He gained a fascination with the war hammer soon after he started learning about weapons, and became determined to wield one. He found an old war hammer in the armory, and started practicing with it to soon find that he was a natural with it. As he grew older he started forging his own chainmail, helm and even his own war hammer. He left Bronzegate when he was 17, and joined on with a pair of hedge knights who later knighted him.
Together he and them traveled around Westeros, taking part in many battles, such as the Battle for King’s Landing and the conquest of Dorne. He served as an officer in the Dornish campaign, learning a formidable amount about leading troops in battle. He is now traveling to the Westerlands to offer his aid against the foreign invaders.
8) Character Physical Description: Mandon stands halfway past six foot, towering over lesser men. He has a muscular build, but is not so burly that he starts to suffer for it. He has coal black hair that cascades down to his shoulders, and almost shiny black eyes. He has a coarse black goatee that he keeps trimmed. He usually wears iron chainmail with boiled leather underneath, and wears his shield on his back. He has an iron med helm, which is a helm that is open in the front except for a slight inward curve at the bottom, and a piece of metal that goes down the bridge of the nose. His shield is made of strong oak, a good two feet across with black iron around the edge, and iron studs adorning the center. On his belt hangs his war hammer, just over two feet in total length. At the bottom is a one and a half inch steel spike, and just above it is the grip which is five inches of sweat and blood stained leather. A foot long iron shaft leads to the head of the war hammer, a three inch tall steel hammer with a four inch barbed spike(for grappling foes) on top of it. One the one side is a six inch blade(similar to a dagger) made for stabbing foes. On the other side is the flat iron hammer, three inches tall and two inches wide.
9) Character Reputation: He is only known by his arms, a brown stag on green.

2) Character Age: 39 (b. 487)
3) Character Nationality (Stormlands, The Reach, etc): The Stormlands
4) Character Byname: The Stormbird
5) Character's Skill (Choose 2 beginner skills, 2 novice skills, 2 apprentice skills, and 2 noteworthy skills):
Noteworthy Swordsmanship Noteworthy Battle Command Apprentice Ambushing Apprentice Stewardship Novice Persuasion Novice Unarmed Combat Beginner Horse riding Beginner Lute
7) Character Personal History: The son of the Songlord grew up in the stronghold of Nightsong along with his sister June, and his foster-brother, Kit Kidwell. At a young age his father was often off campaigning or quelling revolts, so he spent much of his time with his uncle, Durran, with whom he had a close bond. This is not to say they were not close however, for Gideon was always seen at his father's side in public-- at parties and other celebrations, and often hunted with him in their spare time. He was married to Juno Grafton more than a decade ago and since then he has led a quiet life in Nightsong, leading little to remember he once participated in tourneys and courted Cassy Baratheon.
8) Character Physical Description: In his youth he was handsome and fashionable, but as he faded away from the public view he became less interested in maintaining those sides of his character. He is nearly six feet tall with straight brown hair and a generally well trimmed beard. He is a strong man, and imposing figure both sober and drunk.
9) Character Reputation: Being the son of a legendary general many expected him to follow in his father's greatness, but he has for the most part staid of the public eye.

A new second, again
Character's Name: Vardyn Waters Character's Age: 14 (b. 512) Character's Nationality: (Andal) Kingslander
Character's Skills: Noteworthy Riding Noteworthy Tracking Apprentice Sword Apprentice Boxing Novice Longbow Novice Leadership Beginner Stealth Beginner Battle
Character's Personal History: Vardyn was born in King's Landing, to a prostitute who died not long after naming him. He was given the bastard name Waters, given to those born out of wedlock in the kingdom's capital, which was strange enough for most smallfolk are not given a second name. He never wondered really who his father was, but he imagined a great lord or knight as his unknown sire. He was raised on the streets, part of one of the hundreds of children's gangs that roam the alleyways. The hard life made its mark on him, which anyone can tell looking into his eyes. He grew skilled fighting with his fists, although he used pretend weapons as well during his battles against other children. Among the children that he grew up with, he was a master of tracking people through the city, a skill which was put to good use outside the city as well, when he went on those rare occasions to poach deer from the kingswood. He joined the King's Men at 13, hoping to be able to assume a lifestyle that did not revolve around stealing and fighting to survive. He was trained with the sword, and as a horseman though he proved a natural on horseback. He studied rudimentary leadership and strategic tactics, though never expected to be at the head of a group of fighting men.
He almost became a squire for one of the Kingsguard, but those plans were paused when the invaders came from the west. He was one of many who remained in King's Landing to fight against the Basilisk invaders, though he fled the city at Lord Commander Benfry's order when the fight seemed hopeless.
Character's Physical Description: Vardyn is not tall for his age, standing five and a half feet, with a rather mousy build. He does not look the part of the warrior, but he is canny and quick in a fight, which has saved his life more than once. His eyes and hair are a soft brown, though his life is reflected in his eyes and anyone looking into them can see that he has seen things that few pampered lordlings can even conceive of.
Character's Reputation: Vardyn Waters is little known, even among the King's Men, for he only joined the order six months ago but to those he serves with, he is known as a good young man who was never remiss in his duties as a guard of the King.

6) Second: Gregory Penrose
7) History: Both of Jason’s parents died when he was six. Since then, he always looked up to his older brother, Willam, as a role model. Most people who watched Jason grow up saw him as a disappointment. He was never quite as handsome as his older brother, nor as charismatic. In combat and in tactics he could never really compare to Willam either. Even his talent for moving around unnoticed was considered a nuisance since it led to him spooking people when he accidentally snuck up on them.
8) Physical Description: Jason is 5’6” tall with 18” long chestnut brown hair which he usually keeps tied in a ponytail. He is clean shaved and well groomed whenever possible. Jason is lean and wiry weighing about 150 lbs. He has a relatively unattractive face with flat features and dark brown eyes. He prefers to wear plain, functional garb and with no jewelry. 9) Reputation: None. He is known only for being Ser Addam Dondarrion’s second son.

1) Character Name: Lord Wencel Fowler
2) Character Age: 14 (born 512 AC)
3) Character Nationality: Dorne
4) Character Byname: The Young Hawk
5) Character Skills: Expert: Battle Noteworthy: Spear-fighting Noteworthy: Archery Apprentice: Intrigue Apprentice: Horse-riding Novice: Poison Lore Novice: Persuasion Beginner: Survival (Dorne) Beginner: Stealth
6) Character’s Second: Ser Danwell Farring *Expert: Swordsmanship Noteworthy: Battle Apprentice: Stealth Apprentice: Horsemanship *Apprentice: Ambush Novice: Crossbow Beginner: Joust Beginner: Intrigue
7) Character Personal History: The nephew of the Stone Hawk, Lord Quentin Fowler, Wencel was gifted Skyreach by the Crown after Lady Alderly’s exile although he was still barely 10 at the time. As he did not seek the lordship, no blame was attached to him by his new vassals, who wearily understood the political realities enforced on them by the iron fist of the Iron Throne. Although named lord, in truth Skyreach has been ruled by a castellan appointed by Lord Qorgyle until he reached the age of 14 and was legally lord in deed as well as name. Indeed, most of this time was spent merely rebuilding the keep & fort after it's destruction at the hands of Tallahar Tyrell and his Mander knights, who's very names are a curse within these walls. Growing up, he was a rambunctious youth and, together with his twin, was often to be found at the heart of any trouble caused, though he usually managed to talk or boss his way out of any consequences. On the rare occasions the septa was able to get the boy into a classroom however, he showed a natural intelligence and was able to pick up information with ease. As the nephew of the legendary Stone Hawk, he was naturally interested in warfare and studied the battles of Dorne with eager interest, soon outpacing his teachers with his insightful analysis of tactics and logistics. His boundless energy also displayed itself in the usual martial way of inflicting pain on others and he showed no small skill, despite his youth and stature, and was soon easily dispatching foes on the training yard of Skyreach. Only his brother was his equal and occasionally his better and their rivalry was fierce at times, with their hot temper boiling over frequently.
8) Character Physical Description: Still to come into his full growth, Wencel is still a slight-looking young lad, but with the prominent hooked nose of his more illustrious uncle. He barely tops 5’7” currently and has black hair with brown eyes and tanned skin.
9) Character Reputation: Wencel has so far had little time to build up a reputation as he has only just reached the age of lordship. Locally, he is known as a bright, ambitious youth.

R.I.P Rowyn My New First 1) Character Name: Regan Darke 2) Character Age: 24 3) Character Nationality (Stormlands, The Reach, etc): Originally Crownlands. 4) Character Byname: None yet 5) Character Skills: Expert: Staff/Spear Noteworthy: Battle Noteworthy: Stealth Apprentice: Fist-fighting Apprentice: Disguise Novice: Interrogation Novice: Archery Beginner: Languages Beginner: Drinking 8) Character Personal History: Regan was born in King's Landing, to a whore named Lenora Darke. He grew up on the streets, playing at knights and heroes, a product of his mother whispering of the great House Darklyn of which they were descendants. She claimed that he would be the one to restore their House and honour, and for a time he believed it to be true. Until his father returned. He was a Braavosi sellsword, who took a liking to Lenora. He had been in the city, and had come to her for one last ride before returning home to Braavos, when Regan was five. Lenora was infatuated and naive, strange traits in a whore, and didn't want him to go. Her imploring wails irritated the Braavosi, and he struck her in anger, killing her with his bare hands. He left the brothel, never learning of the boy, his son, who watched it all from the shadows and followed him when he left. The boy was stealthy, and easily stole aboard his fathers ship. On reaching Braavos however, he was discovered. His father knew nothing of the truth, and took the boy as a slave. Regan worked silently, scouring mail and squiring to the sellswords, and in return they taught him their trade. He was astute, and the boy grew into fiercely intelligent man. He became his fathers right hand man, and they returned to Westeros to fight for the kingdom forces in the war against the invaders. They stopped off in King's Landing, and Regans father got drunk in an alehouse. He began to brag of this whore he once knew, and how the bitch had been hopelessly in love with him. Suddenly, Regan could bide his time no more, and he turned on the Braavosi, beating him to death the same way his mother had been beaten, and whispered the truth in his ear as he lay bleeding to death. He fled the scene of the crime, and it was then, unknown to him, that the invaders attacked King's Landing. He had fought for the city of his birth, but self-preservation was high on his list of priorities and when it seemed hopeless he threw down his arms and hid in the wreckage of the buildings. His knowledge of Flea Bottom allowed him to evade capture, as well as rescue the peasants whom were hunted by the Basilisks. 9) Character Physical Description: He is tall and lean, not uncomely, with dark hair and grey eyes. His frame belies his strength and speed however, something infinitely to his advantage as a man-for-hire. 10) Character Reputation: Well known in the Free Cities for his deeds with his fathers company. He is relatively unknown in Westeros, though if one looked for an all-purpose mercenary, they would need not look much further.
