King Selwyn Baratheon: Selwyn the Scarred, Selwyn the Strong, Selwyn the Survivor; King Selwyn awoke one night screaming. His head was literally aflame. His wife and young babe were already dead, and soon his attackers were as well. Unable to stand from the terrible burns to the top of his face and head he was abed almost six months.
Once he realized Thatcher was a traitor he dragged himself from bed, and started to fight the others. Even though he was a great commander and warrior he was slowly pushed back. Every day darker then the last. His eldest sons died fighting, and his daughters died of famine and illness. Yet he did not give up.
When Saella Arryn saved him at Goldengrove, he knelt because he knew she was his people's only hope. He followed her, but she also relied on his iron strong will.
He lost the top of his head, and left eye to flame. His right ear and three fingers, and four toes to frost bite. He has jagged scars on his right cheek and his left hand.
Legendary: Sword, Command
Prince Horas Martell: He has aged years in the last weeks. He is stooped, and slow. What ever dark magics he wreaked on the Others show in the lines on his face and hands. His reputation is dark as night, and until the Others arrived, Horas Martell was one of the most feared in the Land.
Legendary: Higher Mysteries, Intrigue
Selwyn's Circle- The Battle Leaders of Selwyn
Herman "The Squire" Tallbody- Herman was serving a Hedge knight as his squire in Deepwood Motte when the Others crossed the wall. He rode behind his knight north to the first battle against Winter's Army. His side was killed almost to a man. Tallbody survived, and joined up with remnants of the Black Watch. For the duration he served as the best scout against the Others. Seeing the man's skill Selwyn gave him command of all of his scouts.
Legendary: Scout
Rolf Groomsman: Rolf started the war as a stableboy in a Northern Keep. When it fell he rode for his life, but not for far. Like most North men or women he turned and began to resist the chilling advance. A natural horseman he kept being promoted until he commanded half of Selwyn's cavarly.
Legendary: Horsebow, Cavalry Command
Ser "Long" Jess Dunn: Tall, lean man who seemed to have been born in a saddle. He always rides crumpled and messy. He drinks too much, and always complains of ills that he may or may not suffer. He commanded half of Selwyn's cavalry.
Legendary: Lance
Lord Aberforth Yew: Tall, gangly and lean he is a master archer, and leader of archers. His straw gold hair is clearly cut with a bowl, and his face is clean shaven.
Legendary: Archer Command
"Red" Ustice Mills: The Red haired, red faced giant of a man commanded Selwyn's Pikes and infantry.
Legendary: Polearm, Infantry Command
Ser Barelston "Barrel" Musgood: A large keg of a man. He is the reason that Selwyn was able to keep his army feed, and on the move. His scrounging powers seemed magical, and out of nowhere wagons and carts would appear regularly with food and drink.
Legendary: Steward
Lord Pristyle Roxton, The Prissy, the Prickly: This fop was the most important man in Selwyn's circle. He kept the people around Selwyn in control. Let the important ones through, and kept the foolish, and useless away. He spotted the talents of the other of Selwyn's Circle recognizing true talent, and the dross.
Legendary: Steward
Lord Edwyn "The Unfortunate" Banefort: Eight times he went out with a force. Either scouting, flanking, or raiding. Eight times he was one of only a handful who returned. Twice he was the only man, and once he came back dragging a wounded Selwyn. After five times he was ordered with a force to retreat, this force was attacked and destroyed.
He drops things, falls occasionally, and is always drifting off lost in thought. Every man in the Army of the Victors think he is cursed, and brings bad luck. When they marched for the final battle he was left behind, only catching up after the last battle.
Legendary: Unlucky
