Kenneth seeks out Captain General Antonious when his host arrives back in Pentos.

[The Stranger]

He is shown in.

"Yes Ser, what is it?"

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

"I wanted to know how we stand, Captain General, I heard about Lys and about the Braavosi stalling north because of the Rain."

[The Stranger]

"The Braavos are perhaps a week distant, We are gathering supplies in preparation for the coming siege. The navy will deal with matters on Lys. Until we restore the sea route there's nothing that can be done to help them anyway," the General says.

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

"Do they have enough men to lay siege to the city, without the Norvosi?" Kenneth says. "Our forces have been battered pretty good."

[The Stranger]

"They do, assuming that the Norvosi and Qohorik have quit the field for good, which is unclear," Antonious said, "We'd call in reinforcements from Lorath, Tyrosh, and Myr but there is the matter of the sea lane we mentioned earlier."

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

"Have we tried negotiating with them?" Kenneth says. "With the Braavosi or one one of their factions? The Free Alliance is going to have to come to terms at some point?"

[The Stranger]

Antonious cringed, "That is not a matter for us, that is a matter for the Council."

[Ser Kenneth Coyn]

Kenneth nodded, "I understand, but as military men we can only accomplish so much, if there is anything else I can do let me know,"

[The Stranger]

"That is all for now. The Pentoshi Militia is doing most of the preparation work, so your men are at liberty until the we call for assembly," Antonious waved his hand for Coyn to depart.

Coyn nods and departs.

Kenneth hangs around the headquarters to try and see if he can find out any information about the blockade on the city.

[The Stranger]

The City is besieged by a larger force of Braavosi, and has been joined by the remains of the Norvos and Qohorik forces. The port remains open, so the city is still receiving goods and supplies. The enemy is hanging back, apparently waiting for something.

Kenneth approaches the Headquarters again after months and months of siege. The health of his troops had not suffered too badly since the harbor was still open but he was determined to find out if there was anything he could do to help end the conflict.

With the help of his accountant he had learned to read and his Bastard and High Valaryian had improved with practice.
