Lord Goldfinger scuttles into the chamber and sets down a few sheets of paper for scribbling notes. He is glad to see the room is not overly ornate. After everyone is introduced, the Frey brings up the first order of business. "That..." He lays out a piece of paper on the table for all to see. "Is a list of all funds expended so far for the Braavosi trip. It's not a particularly outrageous sum of money, only a pittance compared to the cost of this next tourney, but I think I would like to know what sort of ultimatums we're delivering to the new Sealord." He leaned forward to pour himself a glass of water. "Transcontinental wars are dreadfully expensive."

Francis had selected the seat as far from Frey as possible. He'd taken a dislike to the man ever since he tried to interfere with Oldtown trade.
"Isn't it customary for the Lord Hand or Lord Regent to open discussion of the Small council?" He drolled while leaning back in his chair.

"I wouldn't know. It's my fist meeting, after all."

Francis laughed. "Well If it makes you feel any better, at my first meeting we were discussing which of my fellow Reach Lords lived or died."

Piers laughs, "How did you stay off that list Francis?"

"Because I'm a sneaky little weasel and you find me useful." Francis said to Piers with an exaggerated wink.

"Ye merry old knaves..." murmured the Master of Coin as he sat back in his chair, sipping his water.

"In case your unfamiliar with Lord Piers' ruling style Lord Frey, information flows up, and orders flow down. I'm sure if he when he is inclined to tell us what our ambassadors are negotiating, he will tell us."

He stared at the Master of Whisperers blankly, before blinking. "I'm sorry, you have a very soft voice. Did you just imply that noone here understands why we just sent the Shield of the East and the Lady Paramount of Dorne on a first-class trip to Braavos?" He looked around the table for someone with an answer.

"What I said," Francis straightened himself in his chair, "Was that when we need to know, we'll be told."

"I know, Walder." Piers smiled darlky, "DO you want me to begin telling all I know, right here in front of anyone." The smile cuts hard at Goldfinger.

Goldfinger sighs, scribbling a note for future meetings. "My apologies. I'm used to being my own master."

"The Coins obey you Lord Frey, but you are mine." Laughed Piers.

"Do we honestly believe that Sergyo will abide by the terms of any negotiated truce? I have to admit I find the likelihood low. He expended a serious amount of capital in his attempt to place his puppet on the throne. Faceless Men don't come cheap, and at least two were killed during his attempts. He doesn't seem the type to expend that amount of energy and come away empty handed."

He nodded, "My concern is that Sergyo is not finished. This was a drastic affair, false leaders and so on, but still below his capacity to make mischief. Where were the mercenaries and enemy fleets? If he really desired it, he could have held this city with little effort. A man that obssessive and wealthy would shuttle Dothraki and Targaryens to feed his murder lust." He mulled over it for a moment before finishing his thought. "Either he doesn't have the support to go to war, or this last gambit isn't complete yet."
