Watson scurries into the Small Council chamber, clutching a large map of Westeros. He has placed markers indicating where the comet is reported to have struck. He places it on the table together with what little he knows of the damage caused so far. It seems Dorne has suffered from the quakes and strike the most but the situation is equally dire in the Stormlands. He hovers back, waiting for the Council to give it's instructions on what to do in the King's absence.

A message reached the small council. It was written in the King's hand, but contained only a few words: Martial law, now.

OOC: I'm assuming Callen logged on to Donnel's name by accident or something.
Horas eyes Poggs' map, then reads the message from Callen. "The king has made his will clear, it seems. I do not believe things are so dire in King's Landing to warrant outright martial law, but some steps must certainly be taken. Unless there are any objections, I say we should triple the goldcloak patrols, using the Westerosi army where necessary to supplement the watch. We should also quickly set up healing camps and tents for the recently homeless to stay for a time outside of the walls."

OOC: Woops I keep forgetting to log off of Donnel's account when he's done.

Tallahar stands, "I have 2000 Reach men still here they well patrol while we wait for the Gold Cloaks rank's to fill."

Piers looks at the note and raised an eyebrow, "Some one should tell our dear king, that we are always under Martial Law."

"Well it does not matter how it happens but we need control. Does anyone oppose me using the Reachmen."

Piers says, "Yes, but that is what the king command so make it so."

"Very well then M'Lord Hand." Tallahar bows then leaves.

OOC: I know that King's Landing being under the gold cloaks is technically always under martial law. But I mean to impose it on the surrounding area of the capital, as well as the areas around the meteorites, except for the ones in Dorne of course.

ooc: It's hard to do that though. The Varner trial is proof of the friction between lord and powerful vassal. It's part of the reason Andry is travelling around now. It's a lot harder to ignore the royal family when they're in your face
