"Selfish?" Marianne asked surprised. "I understand that you feel he should be back, and I agree that he should, but if he was to return then Aerie would have no big brother to look after her."

"But he isn't looking after her." She said heatedly, "No one is, I did and so did Becca occasionally. His exile only makes him look more guilty to those that would try to help him."

Marianne shook her head. "I dont think that he is guilty, and though others think I am stupid, I would help him return, but as it stands he will die if he does. I know that Aerie does need looking after, and I will try and visit her sometime, when I can, but I dont think that she would be better seeing her brothers head on a spike."

Arya smoothed her dress along her thigh, "What makes you think he isn't guilty?"

Mari shrugged. "I just have this feeling, and I know him, he would never have done that to anyone in his family, especially not Uncle Talyn. I mean I know that it looks bad on him, but someone could have easily stolen his costume and done it, making him take the blame."

"I would like to believe that too but he was cold to me, and of course I have not spoken to him since. Unless I spoke to him, which is unlikely, I don't know what to think."

Marianne looked thoughtful.

"I would beleive what he said to me. I mean he seemed cold to everyone, even me at some point, but I think if he trusted someone then he would warm up. I think that he was broken by Talyns death and was frightened, thats why he ran."

"Do you think he is still frightened then? Will he ever come back?" She asked idley giving a sigh in between. "I don't think you wanted to visit me to talk about Tomas," she smiled.

"I think that he is, somewhere. I mean he is being blamed for a big thing isnt he. I hope that he will come back..." She sighed. I hope I can find him again she thought.

"No, I just came for a talk, I mean I havent seen you for over two years now!"

"Yes, you look different, a new type of beauty now that you are a mother. And your husband is lord of a respectable castle. How long do you plan to stay with court?"

"I dont know, I want to be back with Tybolt as soon as I can be, he went to see Steffon at Storms End, and I think he went to Blackhaven first. He doesnt want me to get too mixed up in courtly matter anymore."

"Oh," an air of dissapointment came from her mouth, "It is understandable since you are a mother. But your presence will be missed. Is there any chance he would reconsider, say for instance, if the court ever came close by to the castle?"

Mari gave a small laugh. "I wasnt here for two years Arya, Im sure that I wont be missed that much. I think I would rather not get too involved with all this anyway. But if court was to come near then Tybolt wouldnt stop me. And any of you would be allowed to visit"

Arya smiled, "Alright, I've clawed my way back so I don't want to leave, I probably sound so silly. If I'm ever a mother I doubt I'll have time for such things as court. But I haven't really found the right man, I feel so old already."

"Of course you dont sound silly Arya. Youll find someone worthy of you somewhen. Then you can have the joy of holding your own baby."
