The servants started to fill the table with an array of spicy and peppery Dornish dishes. Joanna ordered the food taster to taste every dish and watched him do so before attempting to try anything herself.
"No woman in her right mind would cut up her own clothing, though, especially not all of them. No, I think someone did this to Becca as a form of revenge. For what, I am not sure, but it is the only logical answer. It's most odd though how it is only women of our specific bloodline who have been targeted."

"That is possible, but when have you seen Becca be logical? We have always known her to be wild and unpredictable. Though I do agree with your point about bloodline. You sound like you have someone in mind who is doing this." Arya paid no mind to the servants.

"I have an inkling but I dare not say anything without proof. All I can do is take precautions for my own safety. Perhaps you should do the same, sweet cousin. I would hate to see anything happen to you."
Now that the food taster had done his work, Joanna cut up a slice of chicken flavered with pepper and lemon and began to eat.
"Are you back for good now?"

"Well you needs tell me so I can be wary of them and protect myself accordingly. I'll be here for good, yes." Ary had the chicken too.

"I can't," said Joanna with a tinge of regret. "You would never believe me and then we would not be friends any more. I value your friendship, Arya, now more than ever."

"I'm willing to hear you out, since you said you would hate to see anything happen to me. I have to know Joanna, to look out for my own safety." She said with imploring passion.

Joanna sighed and drumemd her fingers on the table before looking back at Arya.
"I'll tell you but you must swear to speak of this to no-one. Not Becca, not the queen, not your brother or the king himself. No-one."

"I won't say anything Jo, I'll be grateful to you that I can help keep myself safe. No one is looking after me but myself."

"That is all any of us can do," she said. "Very well then. I am afraid that the queen might be involved. Even Daemon thinks so."

Arya chewed for a long time and her eyes glassed over. "Horrible," She said when she was done chewing. "She's that jealous of us? If even the King thinks so then I don't know what else to think. I never thought of her too hard, she has always been sweet to me."

"To me too, once," Joanna answered. "But yes, she is jealous. Of me, for certain, and quite possibly of yourself and Becca too, though she has no great reason to be jealous of you two."
She paused and chewed reflexively then washed the chicken down with a mouthful fo wine.
"Arya...you should know that there are going to be changes soon."

"No, certainly not, unless it is what Morgan herself wishes. I do hope not. Daemon loves her very much," Joanna sighed. "Unfortunately he is incapable of loving only one woman. He loves me, too, and not as a brother loves his sister. That is why I have reason to believe Morgan is jealous."

Arya chewed for a long time for the second time. "I thought you and your mother were against that." Was all she could manage.

Joanna felt a pang of guilt but made heself smile.
"Mother is, and I was, but Daemon is king. Kings are hard to resist, Arya."
