Lord Dawnrose is shown into Joanna's solar. She greeted him with polite warmth.
"Lord Dawnrose, welcome. What is this you have?"

One guard steps forward and opens a chest to show some of the finest Myrish silks.
The other guard shows a beautiful necklace of ruby's.

"Lord Dawnrose,your generosity astounds me. You had best hope the King is not too jealous of you for showing attention to his lady. nevertheless, I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Barristan smiles, "My generosity is not over Your Grace. I have with me two animals that I would be honored for you to have. One is a horse from the finest of our stocks. I also bring you one of my Direhounds. A rare breed of a wolf hounds that trace there line back my grandfathers Dire Wolf. They are without equal in strength and loyalty."

Barristan waved the man gently took the silks out and placed them upon a table. The other guard slowly removed the necklace and the pillow is sat on and put it next to the silks.

Joanna smiled.
"Thank you. I'm sorry for that little charade, but you can't be too careful these days. Your kindness does you credit, Lord Dawnrose. Shall we go and see the horse and hound now?"
She offered him her hand.

The servant showed her in at once.
"Anni!" Joanna cried. "How are you?"
She had the direhound pup in her arms.
"Come and see my new pet. Isn't he adorable?"

Anni did a small curtsy. 'Your grace. I could not be happier at present. Your pup is the most adourable creature i have seen, what have you named him.'

She was deeply fond of the dragons she brought from Sothorys and who died in the service of House Targaryen. Come sit with me. I'll let you stroke the pup if he is willing."
