Prince Trystane sat atop his red brown sand steed, dressed in the bronze armor that is common for warriors in Dorne. He held his helm in his hand, resiting it against the pommel of his saddle.
He waited for the rest of the men to arrive so that they could leave for the Red Mountains. He looked around, feeling proud of himself for traveling to Kingsgrave as the leader of the retinue.
He looked around for a familiar face among those that would ride with him to the West.

Ser Laurant rode close beside Trystane. He bowed his head to his Prince.

Trystane returned the nod to the knight who rode up to him. He studied the man's color in hopes of learning if he was a knight in the Martell household or if he belonged to one of the knights sent by one of the minor houses outside Sunspear.
"Greetings, ser. Are you and the men ready to leave, I don't mean to sound impatient, but I would like to be able to reach Godsgrace before night settles in."

"I will remember that, Ser. Could you send out the order that we are leaving within five minutes, those who are not ready to go by then, can stay here in Sunspear with the shame, by my orders."
Trystane checked to see that he had fastened his shield and spear tightly against the saddle. He didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of his men.
"When we have left Sunspear, you can ride at head of the column with me, good ser. I never catched your name though, so who will ride by my side for the journey west?"

"Ser Laurent Toland ser." He replied, and then rode to give the Prince's order. He was back quickly.

Trystane looked back one last time to see his mother standing in one of the windows, looking down at him and the men. He gave her a small wave goodbye, before he signaled for the column of men to ride out and head for the Greenblood, that would take them to Godsgrace and then further until they reached the Red Mountains and Kingsgrave.

Ser Laurent rode alone side, and kept his eyes watchful. There were words that he would be a target from assassination.
