"I will go change the girls Princess." Aalina said, picking up the exhausted Silvana and pushing Cassana and Eleyna gently towards their rooms.

Joanna nodded.
"Alright. I will call for a bath and change my own clothes. Perhaps its best if we go to the sept after we are dressed in clean attire. Don't keep the girls long from my sight."

A little later, Joanna received word of Daeron's coming.
"Send him up to my rooms," she commanded the maid.
The maid went to find Daeron.
"Princess Joanna asks you to join her in her solar, my lord," the maid informed Daeron.

Jherek set out in search for Aalina, since he had not seen her since the five ladies first returned. He passed through the great hall, the gardens, until he eventually heard her voice from inside the room the three daughters shared. He soon sat down across the hall, and began tuning his lute softly, in case they wanted music.

After tuning not only his lute, but his harp and flute as well, he replaced them in their cases, and softly knocked on the door, taking care not to disturb the children if they were sleeping.

Some time later, Joanna opened the nursery door to admit Doryn.
"Come in," she said. "Will you play for us?"

Aalina was sat with Cassana on her lap. She frowned slightly when the bard walked in but said nothing.

Jherek entered shortly after Joanna, and was slightly knocked off balance by Mari's harshness, even though he understood she had just been through a very traumatic experience.
"I... I... um... I thought I would play for you."

The bard nodded, and thought for a moment. He quickly decided that the flute was the best option for the tune, and began playing slowly and softly, painting the majestic scene the song depicted with frequent crescendos and decrescendos, sustained notes, and breaks between notes.

Joanna applauded softly when the bard was finished.
"That was very nice. You are most accomplished. I wish for another. You choose something this time."

"Of course, Princess."
He places the flute back in its case, and withdraws his lute. He strums it softly and begins playing a slow melody, which his voice soon joins.
"Portrayed in everything I do,
there's a love
I feel for you.
portrayed in everything I write,
you're the light
burning brightly.
Onward through the night.
Onward through the night."
The song continues, with Jherek's voice just another instrument in the song, rather than telling a story as some other songs would.

After asking around for a few moments, Daeron is told, that when he is off-duty, Locke is usually in the training yard or else out in the castle town grabbing an ale at the tavern.
