Jherek straightens up, towering over her, gazing into her eyes with a glare that turned her bones into ice.
"Not all the gold in Casterly Rock could convince me to do harm to this family. I would run a suicide mission into Dorne before I would do anything to harm anyone in this castle. They are the first people to take me under their wing in over four years. I would never harm them."

He lowers his guard.
"Ever so true. Now that we have the unpleasant things out of the way..."
He reaches into his coat for the large case and hands it to Aalina.
"we shall play."
He smiles softly, yet with enough steel in his eyes to indicate that he was not letting her get away so easily.

She started to say something then seemed to think better of it.
"What makes you think that I would want to?" She asked with a small smile. "Maybe I have forgotten all my skills."

Jherek throws his head back in a jubilant laugh.
"One does not simply forget how to play an instrument. Just play a little. I'll join you."
He withdraws his flute from his jacket and waits for her to begin.

She sighed the knowing that she wouldnt win.
Aalina took the instrument and sat, strumming it softly.
She started on a tune that she had been taught in the sept.

Jherek closes his eyes and listens, then joins in with a harmony that matches Aalina's melody. He had never heard the song before, just knew which harmony should fit where, and how to make it work.

Aalina smiled a little, then sped the song up a little, chnging the melody slightly.
She started singing in a soft tone.

Jherek matched her perfectly, keeping tempo and dropping his volume so her singing could be heard.
