[Viea Greyjoy]

Aalina showed no sign of emotion or what she thought.

"Why tell me this Jherek?"

[Jherek Doryn]

"Because I trust you. And because I need to tell someone what I have done. Someone that could look upon me as something other than a tool even after they knew."
He shrugged his jacket off, the heavy article of clothing thudding as it hit the ground.

[Viea Greyjoy]

"Why trust me? What is to stop me from telling another?" She asked evenly.

[Jherek Doryn]

"I don't know. I just have a feeling that you can keep this secret."
He tears the sleeves off of his tunic, revealing scars running across the backs of his arms.
"This is the penance I have paid for the lives I have taken."

[Viea Greyjoy]

She bit her lip.

"Why are you in Runestone then?"

[Jherek Doryn]

"I go wherever my path takes me. Wherever I feel I could possibly find peace, I go."
He hugs his arms close to his body, his shivering fingers caressing the lengths of scar tissue on his arms.

[Viea Greyjoy]

"You are going to freeze." Aalina said. "Most men have taken lives Jherek. And even some women."

[Jherek Doryn]

Jherek stops shivering, and looks at her, sadness prevalent in his eyes.
"Each of these scars, all forty-nine of them, are wounds I inflicted upon myself after I killed. Forty nine people, Aalina. Forty nine lives that I ended just because some fat, rich person told me to."

[Viea Greyjoy]

"Because you were told to, that is no more or less then any soldier." Aalina said

[Jherek Doryn]

"Cold-blooded murder, Aalina. I killed those people when they didn't even have a chance to fight back. They rarely saw my face, and even less often got a chance to react to my presence."
He laughs hysterically, his voice ringing through the trees.
"I've been a bad, bad boy, sister."

[Viea Greyjoy]

"Jherek, why tell me all this? If you want forgiveness you should pray, I am no more then a servant. Those people you killed you did under orders, not acting from free-will. If you hadnt the orders would you still do it?"

[Jherek Doryn]

"Aalina, to me you are so much more than a servant of god. I consider you a friend. If you wish to turn me in for the crimes I have committed, then so be it. If you wish to condemn me to whatever hellish afterlife the Seven have planned for me, so be it. I trust you with this information... my life."

[Viea Greyjoy]

"You have known me for less then a week Jherek. But I know what it is like to be betrayed by someone that you trust."

[Jherek Doryn]

"So you're saying that you are not turning me in?"

[Viea Greyjoy]

"No, but if anything ever happens here, I will kill you myself." She warned. "I may be a servent of the Gods, but I actually care about this family."
