The largest city in the Vale and one of the largest in Westeros, Gulltown is the most important port in the Vale, where much of the business of the Lords of the Vale is conducted. Lord Grafton rules the city from his castle, which rises up on a hill over the rest of the city. The docks have been newly constructed and improved in recent years, after being razed by King Rodrick III in 546.

"This is Lady Aryanna Dayne," Maryn said before Ary could say anything, "And I'm Ser Maryn Drinkwater. We have come to seek Lord Grafton's honourable aid for a few nights."

"Thank you master Cadbury," said Arya with a smile, "I am not used to this city and I remembered that Lord Grafton was a gracious host at his feast in King's Landing. Have you seen more traffic of courtiers and the like coming through Gulltown?"

The man nodded, "There have been many nobles traveling through the port since the King's court is in runestone."

"I see..I thought I had heard murmurings of it at the Eyrie and when I came here I found out for certain. Is it true that the Princess Joanna has been gravely wounded?"

"I have heard she is dead. That she has turned into a dragon and burned away the clansmen. And that she is grievously wounded, or slightly wounded, or pregnant. I have no true info yet my lady."

"All news seems to be horrible. We can only hope it is the least gravest. There has been too many tragedies already. I had heard news of fighting in the mountains with the clansmen, but I did not think that they would grow so bold. Is it generally safe here in Gulltown?"

The man nodded, "Very safe milady. No clansman would dare come here."

Arya sighed, "Good, I have heard terrible tales. I would like to start making my way to court either on the morrow or in the next few days. Thank you for your hospitality."
