Duncan successfully finds a trail of several armored horse which he begins to follow. He then spots ten men-ahorse, riding southwest. Unfortunately they spot him too, and turn to give chase.

Caught from behind as they try to flee, The Vulture Knights cut through Duncan's scouts as if they were Dornish silk trying to stop a sword. Men fall all around Duncan.

Again the scouts cannot resist the onslaught, and suffer casualties. They break and attempt to flee, and the Vulture King attempts to stop them.
