"Of course. I want to see your new home, Aunt Mari. I promised Mother I'd write her about it."
Meanwhile Cassie said "I heard it's really really cold in the North so it freezes people and so hot in Dorne that the people turn brown. Do they?"

"Thats good." Mari said, waiting for her to catch up. "Well you can tell her all about the journey, and what Blackhaven is like."
Adelene kicked her so she put the child down again, keeping hold of her hand.

Eleyna sighed.
"Yes, of course I do. I wish she was coming with us. I don't understand why Mother married Uncle Daemon. I mean...I couldn't marry Cassie. Not that I'd want to. I try to be brave and strong and clever now that my father is dead and I am Lady Royce but it's hard, especially without Mother to advise me and I don't understand anything that's happening now."

"I hope so," Eleyna sighed. "I'm almost a woman now but I'm not old enough to do things by myself. Aunt Mari, is Uncle Daemon still married to Aunt Morgan?"

"I don't understand," Eleyna said. "When and a man and a woman marry they are supposed to be faithful to one another. I'm not sure what that means but if Uncle Daemon is married to two women he can't be faithful to either of them."
She frowned.
"Will Mother stuff loving us when she has Uncle Daemon's baby?"

"I dont know Eleyna." Mari said, avoiding the answer. "You might understand when you are older, but you will have to talk to your mother about that. I am only happy with Tybolt, and I think that he is happy with just me. Of course your mother will still love you both, all of you. And if anything happens then you can always stay with me."

"No," said Eleyna. "I have to go to Runestone when I am grown. I have to be married and have an heir. But I would stay with you otherwise, Aunt Mari. I wish we could all be together at Runestone though. I wouldn't mind if Mother brought the dragons."
Cassie skipped along beside Tybolt.
"Do you love Aunt Mari like the knights in the songs?"

Mari hid her smile from Eleyna.
"Well I am sure you will make the best little wife ever Eleyna. And the best little Lady. But like you said we both have to be in seperate places, I have to stay with Tybolt here and you will have a wonderful husband and be in Runestone."
