Ary arrived, stricken by the beauty of the scenery and amused by the novelty of being lifted to the castle in a large basket.

Tonio had wanted to ride to the top on goat, but when Aryanna had decided to go by the basket, he had opted to stay with her. In the end he was rather grateful he had. It allowed for a spectacular view of high snowy peaks in every direction pushing through the cloud level.

"Isn't it wonderful? I thought I'd be scared but it feels like we floated up to the top." Aryanna looked around now that they had reached their destination, she had only seen a few paintings of the Eyrie and wasn't sure what to expect.

The basket cranks up the last length and moves through the ground of the storage area into the keep.
They are welcomed by Maester Polsen, a newly chained young, nervous looking man.
He smiles at them. "Welcome to the Eyrie, Lady Aryanna, everyone is so pleased that you're here."

She smiled in turn, "I didn't know if I was to be expected really. Everything has been happening so fast. You're the Maester of the Eyrie?" She asked.

He nodded quickly, "oh yes, forgive me, I'm Maester Polsen."
"Yes, Prince Maekar sent word, it's how we knew to send a guard to meet you in Gulltown," he smiled.

"Good, it's been a fairly uneventful journey. Thank you for your hospitality. Is the Queen mother well? I had heard some talk in King's Landing that she had been ill. I do really want to meet her, she's an inspiration."

Maester Polson looked terribly apologetic all of sudden, "oh I'm sorry, my lady, I'm sure you'd dearly love to speak with her, but it just isn't possible. Her illness, you see? She has taken a worse turn."

"Oh!" Arya clasped her hands to her chest, "I'm so sorry to hear." She frowned. "My father told me to send his greetings to her. I will add her to my prayers. There is a sept here right?"

Polsen again looked apologetic, "oh no, my lady, the Eyrie is much too small for that. I have these though," he said, pulling some carved figurines out of a satchel that hung from his shoulder. There was seven of them, each carved in the likeness of a different one of the Seven.
"I carved them myself, you can hold onto them, I'm sure the Seven will hear your prayers."

"That is kind of you," She took the figurines. "Thank you, once I settle in I will pray straight away, I find that is the best thing to do when I am in a new place." She thought for a moment, "Are there any other ladies here?"

Polsen blushed slightly when she thanked him for the figurines.
Polsen once again seemed upset to disappoint Aryanna. "No, Lady Anni has gone to visit the prince in King's Landing. We are hoping for her return in several months though," he offered.

She looked visibly dissapointed, it was looking more and more like this would be a prison. "Very well, I will settle in to my room and pray. Thank you for the greeting and I hope to see you soon."
