Battle of Euric's Manse

Twelves arsons run from the night and throw pitch and torches at Euric's Manse.

Twenty Goldcloaks on patrol react and follow them in.

10 of Maekar's men-at-arms who had been alert for attack and were disguised as servants in Euric's house and passerbys on the street react to the arsonists as quickly as possible and run to engage.

They will try to take who they can alive.

The arsonists burst by and through their torches. Only one is stopped by one of Maekar's men. And that man is soon cut down.

Euric and his men burst from the house, and charge the attackers, with Maekar's men as well. Ser Maryn charges, and manages to strike one of the arsonists as he retreats.

The arsonists see the Gold Cloaks, and stop; pulling their short blades, and cudgels. They form a loose ring, and attempt to defend. Euric cuts down two of them shoulder to shoulder with two of his guardsmen.

One of Maekars men fall with wound.

Four of the arsonists fall to the blades of their attackers.

Euric is shocked when the gold cloaks run right through the arsonists and crash into his own numbers. Two of his men fall immediately, and he takes a blow to his head the knocks him to his knees. Blood covers his face, but he fights to his feet.

Maryn manages to slay one of the attacking goldcloaks, even as the rest of his compatriots are slammed back.

Euric's men fight much harder seeing their commander fall. Screaming, "Dawn!! Dawn!!" They attack again and again. Yet the Gold Cloaks are well trained, and only lose a single man.

Maryn fights hard alongside, and sees Euric take another hard blow to the head. Maryn moves to protect his ladies father.

Maekar's men manage to cut down two more of the arsonists in the middle of the battle.

The Arsonists break and flee, running from the battle.

Euric flung himself forward, and is hit eavily, but his men charge close behind him, scything through the enemy. The Gold Cloaks break and begin to flee as well.

Maryn manages to capture one of the Gold Cloaks, and take him prisoner.

Maekar's infiltrators had caught two of the arsonists, by knocking them unconscious.

Ser Euric Dayne is mortally wounded. He has only a few hours of life before he dies.
