Rape of Redfort

[The Stranger]

While its Knights and Men-At-Arms, and much of its menfolk are away, Redfort is attacked by clansmen. Many women are raped and savaged, children taken away back into the mountains. Houses and stores are destroyed, and any items of value which could not be stolen were burned. The raiders are not successful at penetrating the stone keep, lacking ladders or ropes, but much of the castle town is destroyed.

The few surviving witnesses include an old crone, who, shudders as she recalls being repeatedly ravaged by a dozen men underneath a black banner, showing a red, four-fingered hand.
