Ser Tarrick and his thirty-eight knights arrive at Summerhall, flying the banner of Storm's End, and he calls up to the gate-guard requesting entry.

The guard looks over the walls for a moment then retreats to the keep. A while later the steward comes atop the walls,
"Ho, down there!" he calls. "Here, our lord is not."

"So long as your Maester is here I do not care. I've got wounded men here, open the gate!" Tarrick called up irritably.

"Aye," the steward said. The gates opened cautiously, and the guards on the inside were armed and ready. They did not know who it was, after all.

Ser Tarrick hands the steward a scroll bearing the signature and seal of Lord Steffon Baratheon. It is slightly tattered, but still legible, and gives Ser Tarrick freedom to travel across any lordly borders while conducting his search for the Vulture Outlaws.
"Who's in charge here?" he asked. "Some of my men need a maester's attention," he added, gesturing to a dozen of his men who were bandaged crudely in various places.

The steward takes the scroll and reads it briefly, largely knowing what it will say. "I am," he said, as he read it. He rolled it up and gestured toward the men. "I am Ser Godfrey Grandison," he introduced.
The guards moved forward and began to help the wounded men toward the maester's ward. "You must have come across my lord during your travels here. Come with me," he said, leading Ser Tarrick to the main hall, while the others were seen to.
When they reached the hall, Ser Godfrey turned. "Tell me what has happened."

"Aye, we met Lord Targaryen, and camped with him for a few days before moving south. Lord Steffon sent us to investigate Vulture's Roost, but when we found nothing we made to return north and seek the outlaws' trail again," Tarrick replied, pulling a canteen off his belt and drinking deeply.
"We were ambushed by four hundred men out of Wyl, and I lost thirteen knights before we cut our way free and rode for the border."
