A merchant ship much like any other merchant ship leaves the harbor, this one carrying two unremarkable sellswords bound for Braavos.

Arya fought her father hard to remain in King's Landing but she eventually relented. It was suggested she cut her hair but instead she tied it in a ponytail and wore a shawl and cloak over her head. "How long will it take to get there?" Arya asked her big guardian.

Tonio of Lorath stood at the edge of the ship watching as King's Landing began fading from sight, his long, blue, braided beard blowing out at a near horisontal angle in the wind. He breathed the sea air in deeply, happy to be free of the city stink.
"The captain has told me we should reach Gulltown in a fortnight, Laura," he said in a voice that seemed to have a calming effect. He used the name she had chosen to disguise herself with on their journey.

Arya sighed as the ship pulled away from the city she had considered her home. She hoped her father and friend Ser Maryn were doing well and that the Prince was making headway in the investigation. "You seem so calm, I feel like I'm going to melt from my nervousness. I've never been to the Vale, have you?"

"Do not be nervous, when you are at peace, the world works in your favour."
He smiled at the mention of the Vale, "never, but the men of Maekar's household have told me from the Eyrie, you can look down and see the eagles flying. This is something I would like to see."

Arya smiled at the thought of such a sight, "I would like to see that too. The Queen mother will also be there, I've always wanted to meet her, but I hear she is sickly. I'm sure I can learn from her though." She suddenly felt something rising through her stomach and vomited over the railing. "Ack!" She said, deeply humiliated at what happened. "I feel so sick!"

Tonio grinned, "the sickness is in your mind. Move with the ship, not against it, and the rocking will not be so effective."
"I am sure there will be other wonderous sights for us to see, so high up. Perhaps we will look down and see the Father's bald head." He laughed.

She tried to put the man's words into practice but heaved the contents of her stomach out once more. But after a while she got the hang of it. "I hope we can ride up the mountainside, I don't want to hurt my ankle. It's not really ladylike to be walking such steep inclines."

Tonio considered that. "This is true. If Laura should not walk, then Tonio of Lorath should carry her.

She smiled, "That would be kind of you, you're such a gentleman, you would make a good husband for a lady. I do hope they have some path though to make it easier on the both of us." She considered their situation, "I didn't bring very many clothes either. Does the prince have men waiting for us at Gulltown?"

Tonio nods. "It would be better if we were to do the journey alone, but the mountains have become dangerous. The wild men are on the loose."

"What do you mean?" She frowned, "Clans people? Well I don't think they'd come after us with some men guarding our journey. Hmph, do we have a cabin for ourselves?"
