Lord Jon Redfort lined up with the rest of him team for the trial of seven; he was wearing his normal armor being red plate mail with white trim. Just to his right was Lord Conwell Lannister the man who was able to un-horse him during the joust, while other members of the team included Tito Brax, Ned Flowers, Aerion Varner who he heard took after his weasel sigil with uncanny characteristics, Ser Duncon Wode, last was Prince Maekar Targaryen the man who his brother was the sworn sword to. After making sure he remembered his teammates he turned to the opposite side of the field. This included Lord Jon Royce, Tomas Thatcher, Owen Lannister, and The Mysterious Knight of the sun that defeated Jon to win the melee, Rickon Ball, Prince Daeron and finally just opposite Jon was Howard Thorne. Lord Redford’s attention is drawn to Rickon Ball for a moment and notices him doing a rather rude gesture toward his side of the field he puts it in the back of his mind for latter if they are to meet during the fight.
Suddenly the banner bearer in the middle of the field drops it and runs off before the inevitable onslaught of charging men. Lord Jon forgets his friends and now only focuses on the one person charging at him, He is able to raise his shield and brace for an impact just as Thorne comes charging into him. In response to Thorne’s attack Jon launches one of his own but is unable to get past his opponents defenses, and they both back off for a second round. Howard Thorne hoping to catch Jon off guard suddenly lunges and swings his mace in a downward strike. Jon is able to spin out of the way of this attack and notices that Maekar and Duncan are off of the field and that the rest of his team is outnumbered. Enraged with the thought of loosing Jon unleashes upon his opponent and hits him solidly with his spear, watching Thorne fall to the ground Jon felt that the attack that hit Thorne in the head was oddly taken but decided to push it back into his head until after the battle for now things where just getting heated up.
Jon looking up from the fallen Thorne see’s a mass of fighters around the flowing white cape of Ned Flowers so decides that there is the right place for him to be, Charging into the mass of bodies he comes face to face with the Sun Knight, Grinning under his helm Jon starts to test the Knights defenses with simple attacks and knowing from experience that the Sun was merely doing the same with his own attacks. After these simple parlay’s Jon leaves an opening in his defenses in hope that his opponent would fall for it, which he unwisely does allowing Jon to swiftly spin out of the way again and sweep his spear under the Sun Knights legs hoping to hit the knees bringing the Knight crashing down unto the ground. As luck was on Redford’s’ side his attack not only crashed into his opponents legs but also was able to eliminate him from the battle.
Quickly recovering from his attack on the Sun Knight Jon Redfort looks around the battlefield and notices Conwell eliminating Rickard ball and Ned Flowers approaching Owen Lannister who quickly put up a fight that Flowers was barely able to keep up with. Redfort see’s Conwell rush over to help Ned so he starts running over to further help his teammates in bringing down King Daemon’s Dragon Champion. Jon notices Owen land a vicious attack towards Ned that knocks him away just in time to let Owen turn to face his brother and ready a defense. Owens defense is set up hastily and as a result is unable to fully protect him from Lord Lannister’s attack, Lord Redfort seeing an opening charges in and lands a direct blow across the White Knight’s shoulders resulting in the White Knights downfall and ultimate elimination from the battle. Lord Jon Redfort stands up amidst applause and remembering the attack on Howard Thorne and how its landing felt odd, Jon starts to look around for Thorne and notices Prince Daeron huddled over a body on the ground that was covered in a blanket. Suddenly a deep and terrifying thought crept up Redfort’s spine. Jon approaches Daeron and the mass on the ground and to his sorrow there laid Howard Thorne. After a brief conversation with Prince Daeron Jon had his pages help him remove his armor and lay out plain clean clothing for him to wear. After washing and donning his new wardrobe Lord Jon heads towards the Great Sept of Bealor where he spends the night in Prayer asking for forgiveness due to the untimely death of Howard Thorne.
