I'd like to be here for the murder of Talyn, but I understand if it really can't wait. There is the Stormland's feast still to do, and the Trial, but I don't know if that will last you through till Monday.

I will see if I can stretch it.... you should have rolled the melee and left it in the Admin folder until I posted it.

Yeah. That would have been a better idea, it would have given you more material to work through. Le Crap.
Remember you want to announce that Trant was responsible for security, so that he can be fired from his post. I also think the stabbing should be as horrendously bloody as possible for your description. Like pushing him back onto the banquet table, and than dozens of dagger strikes.
People will be immediately suspicious, naturally, because they won't believe that One NPC will simply knife another in broad daylight. So Daemon and Becca should pretend to be suspicious too. One of those things were they "want to find the evidence to clear Tomas' name." Of course all the evidence should implicate him. bits of the bloody costume burned in his fireplace, but nothing too obvious like a letter or diary.

I mentioned it in character to Joanna at the first party. I think if I keep mentioning it, it will look set up. As Long as Trant IC admits to it, that is fine.
I figured Daemon would have a bunch of rooms for "private" celebrations, and I figure that Bittersteel was seen entering the one Thatcher was in, and then his body was found.
I figure a bloody scene too, but I figured since when they catch Tomas he will be wearing the costume, so instead a man wears a red cloak in and droos the cloak in the room, and the witness swore that he saw a Bittersteel mask, over a red cloak.

Ah. Okay. I suppose that works. PCs mix between believing everything every PC tells them (Joanna) to believing nothing anyone tells them about anything. So its hard to do.
Tomas' fleeing should seal it for them, if they aren't meta-gaming.

Agreed. Runnng always makes you look guilty, plus all the moves Daermon is making against Thatcher seem confrontational, but not homicidal.

Plus they are going to do their little, "It can not be the obvious guy" thing.

Yeah. I don' think anyone should really suspect Daemon. There is a problem of motive. Maybe some Father-son arguing after the Trial, if the outcome seems to suggest that for some reason.

Oh. I figured that Talyn and Tomas can argue at Steffon Baratheon's party about Tomas being on the King's side in the Trial. Talyn will be trying to point out that the King is just using Tomas to get to him, while Tomas wants to believe that the King picked him for his skill.
Perhaps you could have the argument take place publicly but in whispers. Then anyone with Espionage skill at the party can be sent the topic of the argument. People always trust things more when they think they are getting secret information.
