"Work is for commoners, but things like planning and leading people is for those of higher blood. That's why Targaryen's can rule so well." She shrugged and chuckled, "Some people find other's hobbies as tedious work. Like building miniature ships inside bottles, what madness!"

Joanna giggled.
"Yes, that is the silliest thing ever, but I suppose most men would find a woman's love of choosing fine clothes to be equally ridiculous. As I have said, I will support you in your goals, cousin. They are worthy of a Dayne with dragon blood."

"Thank you." She leaned over to hug Joanna. "Your support is of high regard to me, and I wish you to teach me more about what it is like to be of Targaryen blood."

Joanna smiled.
"I'll do my best but I think it's something you are, not something to be taught. Did your septa teach you the history since Saella's Conquest?"

"Of course I learned about it, and I like the songs too. Why do you ask?"

"Well, I meant that you have a heritage to be proud of. On both sides. I know my mother highly values your father's contributions to their war, but our mothers, Aunt Kyma - and even Aunt Lily before she went mad - are women without whom the realm would be all the poorer. I think, Arya, that if you wish to look to your Targaryen heritage, you couldn't do better than to look at Saella and her four daughters."

"Hmm that's true, they were all good role models for us to follow, and an inspiration. I don't want to be second." She said, but still teetered on indecision about an unsaid issue. "Do we with dragon blood take what we want?"

Joanna considered that.
"It's not wise to grab without looking but we should certainly try to take what we most desire if it is within our reach and the risks are not too great."

Arya nodded, "That is understandable." She sighed and laid back on the couch. "I need a servant to give me a massage, so much to think about. You've been a help Joanna."

"I think so too, and I think that we will be speaking with one another shortly." She smiled tenderly.

She left.

////////////////
Joanna arrived to spend some time with the Queen. She was dressed plainly (for her) in riding clothes since she meant to go out later, but it was noticeable that she was remarkably happy with herself these days.

Joanna was admitted into the Queen's presence. the Queen was dressed in her usual finery.
"Joanna, you seem to be in an adventurous spirit today," The Queen remarked, "What has you in such a fine mood?"
