She walked happily alongside her husband. 'Tell me more of the children.'

She is shown up into Prince Maekar's solar and offered a seat.
Maekar enters a few minutes later. "Marianna, how are you?" he asked as he strode into the room and took a seat beside her.

Mari smiled.
"I am great thank you Maekar, yourself?"
She was confused as why her brother wanted her.

"I am well," he said in his usual business-like manner.
"I have called you here to speak to you once again of Ser Tomas."

Mari was shocked, she thought that Maekar had said that he could do nothing.
"Oh?" Was all she could say.

Maekar nodded.
"I have had some time to consider what you have said, and have decided to pursue the matter further. From you I ask that you recount to me in the fullest detail possible how you came to meet Ser Tomas, where you went and who you met while you were with him, any and all aliases he may have travelled under, and if you have any idea of hideouts or safe-houses he used while with you or before meeting you."
"Are you willing to share this information with me?"

Marianne was silent for a little while.
"Why have you suddenly changed your mind Maekar? When I came about Tomas before you said that you wouldnt!"

"I did not say I would not, Marianne," Maekar corrected, "I said you had not provided me with enough information to pursue the matter further than I already had. However, my time away has given me time to consider that if I can gain contact with Ser Tomas, it will perhaps shed some light on this mystery. And while I believe you when you say that you do not know where he is, it may be that some small detail of your time with him could help to eventually establish where he is now."
"But Marianne," he said, fixing his gaze on her, "I give you my word, as your brother, that I will not attempt to capture him or bring him to any harm."

Mari gave a small laugh, as if she didnt beleive him.
"And when has anyones word in this family meant anything Maekar? And why would he trust you? You've never exactly pushed the boat out when he did come to court!"

Maekar blinked then rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"I do not recall ever giving you reason to distrust me, Marianne, but I see there is something you share in common with our brother after all."
"Very well. It is you who came to me about this issue, not the reverse. I tell you in honesty that I am interested in finding the truth concerning Ser Tomas, but I will not sit here and try to convince you if you will not believe me. Thank you for coming to see me," he said.

Marianne rubbed her head with her hand.
"Maeker I did not mean that. And I truly didnt mean to upset you, but alot has happened since I asked your help. It is not that I distrust you, but Tomas wouldnt. It took him long enough to fully trust Tybolt and myself, and that was only because we were in the same position as he was."

He nodded his head slightly in recognition of the apology. "If I do manage to find him and he does not trust me than nothing is lost, I am no longer Master of Laws, and as such under no duty to bring him to justice, I will be happy to let him go on his way. But I would rather attempt to make contact than to abandon the idea on the presumption that it would not work."

Mari nodded.
"We left him in Pentos, I have written to him, but received no reply, not that I would expect one. He said that he was going to look for work in Pentos and knowing him as a soldier. Do you think that he was guilty then?"
