"I'll come, then," Joanna said quietly.
Preoccupied with her own affairs, she had not heard of Arya's plight and was genuinely shock.
"Is there anything I might bring Arya that will cheer her or speed her recovery?"

"She indicated for me to bring her her dragon egg cushion and the dress you gave her for her nameday. Other than that perhaps you know what the Lady would look better than I." He smiled. "If it is alright with you princess, I will fetch her things and meet you at Ser Euric's manse."

"That sounds fair," Joanna said. "I will come as soon as I can."

Milo Bettley knocked on her apartment door.

Joanna's maid opened the door.
"My lady is not well, Lord Bettley. Is your visit urgent?"
It was the day after her ride and Joanan was lying on a daybed in her solar because her thighs were sore from friction caused by her saddle during the naked ride.

Milo thought a minute. "It is not urgent, but if you tell her it is me, I would wager she wants to see me." He took the hand of the maid and squeezed it tight. "Your eyes are quite striking."

She smiled demurely at him.
"You are very kind, my lord."
She crossed the room to where Joanna lay flicking idly through a book she was only pretending to read.
"Lord Belttley wants to see you, princess."
Joanna frowned.
"Show him in."
The maid beckoned Milo forward.

Milo walked in, and kissed the hand of the maid, "Thank you."
He watched her closely as he spoke to Joanna, "Princess, it has been a long time."

Joanna looked up and nodded.
"So it has, Lord Bettley. I am sorry I have not been at liberty to speak with you recently."

Milo nodded, "I have been busy as well. With all the murders. How have you taken the recent tragedies?"

"I was shocked, of course, but I have hardly felt involved. Except with the attack on my cousin Aryanna, of cousre. I was very distressed to hear about that."

Milo nodded, "That was shocking, and very surprising. No one can figure out why she was the target. Strange really."

"Yes. I feel the same as you, Milo. Arya deserves to have her attacker found. Are you looking into it?"

Milo nodded, "Of course I am. That and the death of the Hand are all I am looking into now. So many webs of lies."

"Yes. Poor Uncle Talyn. I miss his gloomy face. Do you think the two things are connected?"
