Ragnor calls Brine into a private room in the keep on new Pyke, pouring two glasses of freshly-won Braavosi wine.
"Good that that's dealt with. Now, what do you think should be done with the situation back in the Green Lands?"

Brine shrugged, "You must have spies, I have heard very little. What is happening?"

"Rumors from the traders, mostly. The Queen's sister murdered some lords. Royce has raised his banners. Might be our opportune moment."

Brine nodded, "We should head back."

"I was thinking I'd call up the rest of the fleet. Send half of it here, half to the Shields to support Redoak if the Mander looks like a good target."

"To raid?" Brine's lip curled.

"To raid, or to conquer, if the time is right. Perhaps the Arbor, even."

A thrall knocks on the door, and Ragnor tells him to enter. The man hands him a letter, which he reads quickly, smirking, and then passes to Brine.
"Seems Royce thinks he could use our assistance."
The letter reads as follows:
To Lord Ragnor of House Greyjoy, the King of Salt and Rock, the Son of the Sea-Wind and Lord Reaper of Pyke, Lord Aaron of House Royce, the Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East sends greetings.
The Queen has mobilized her armies against me, when I have done no treason against her. I would congratulate you on your victories over the foul Braavosi; that scum must be put in their place every now and again and I am thankful that you were willing to do so. It is my belief that the Royal Fleet will sail from Duskendale to the Vale, to begin a seaborne assault on Gulltown. While I can easily defend the Vale against encroaching armies, our fleets have never truly recovered from when they were laid waste by Stafford Mallister thirty years ago.
You and I have never met, and you have no reason to side with me that I can see, but I know that the Queen demands much of you and your people that is not customary, and she treats anyone who did not come from across the sea with her as lesser citizens in the realm. I entreat you, as the Lord of the Vale, to aid my cause. The Dornish march with me, for the Queen's actions toward House Martell have not shown her to care much for their support, as do a few lords of the Reach. My lord uncle Tyberion Lannister is a wild card, but I have heard that your people and he are on somewhat amicable terms.
My request is for your aid, in whatever manner you deem appropriate to offer it, if at all. Currently, the Queen and her sycophants control the seas which should by right belong to you as the Lord Reaper of Pyke and I am sure that you already know that this conflict will leave many areas open for plundering, should you decide to take advantage of that. I hope you heed my words, and join us of the Vale.
Signed, Lord Aaron of House Royce, the Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East

"I care nothing for this Aaron, but to sink the fleet of the Crown, and the Arbor have always been a dream of mine." Brine said, "But is this the time for dreams to come true."

"I'll send the raven immediately." Ragnor answers. As he's getting up, another thrall bursts into the room, with another message. Ragnor reads it quickly. "The Queen would like us to make for King's Landing. Oh, this gives me an idea."

Brine raised an eyebrow, "An Idea I would like or one that I would not?"

"Think you'll like it. Ever heard of...I think it was Lord Tywin Lannister? Back in the rebellion, when the Baratheons ousted the Targaryens, Mad King Aerys held King's Landing throughout the fighting. Until Lannister marched an army up to the city, and claimed to be there to help. The gates were opened, and Lannister sacked the city, with the royal family all being killed. I'm thinking something similar. We would need to see how many troops they have stationed there, first."

Brine nodded, "That is one I like. Let us not waste the only non-renewable resource."
