Lannisters- Definately going to have Tybe have bitten it. Putting either Owen or Conwell in charge, depending on who we want over there.
Petra is dead, but I think for plot reasons it might be cool if Lannister schemed Milo out of his holdings, and now Milo is just a full time MoW.
Milo is good at his job, but has become obsessed with tales of a young Prince of Dorne who claims to be the true son of Aurora Martell, and has Dragons of his own.
The Twins of Oldtown are still around, cause I never got a chance to play with them at all. And I wanted to.
I will live the Stormlands, and Dorne to their players.
The Sea Lord's power is in recession, and I think there will have been an inordinate amout of Sea Lords, all of them gunning for the top spot but most getting wiped out quick.
The Other free cities are glad to be free from the strong hand of Braavos, so only unite about that.
The North is healing, but nothing good ever happens except when they declare themselves Kings. Maybe something interesting... like a crannogman who has a terrifying vision, and walks south to share it with the King, but he is not a noble just a dude. So he might not get it.
The Vale is easy, the people are pissed that they got a Targ in their backyard. They are chafing under his iron thumb.
The Riverlands, are divded as calamity after calamity affects the North half under Lord Banefort, while the south has become prosperous, and well run by Thatcher... mostly Kyma because Talyn was running the country.
The West has probably been the trickiest thorn in Talyn's show. I know Tyberion must have hated, and I can see Talyn spreading that hate to all the cursed Lions. (Let me know if I am wrong) Cause Tybe would have gone to lengths to make Talyn look bad. And Talyn knows that two or three times it came to one bad bounce of the coin to keep him from not betraying the crown.
Crownlands are boringly quiet.
The Mander is pissed about Highgarden, but happy about the shields, and run by Eddy, so slightly inept.
The Stormlands, well probably well run by Trant. If Your bro passes on playing him again, I want him to have a Network in the big four.
The Far Reach I kind of want to play up this curse of the Lord Paramount ship. So Florent was gifted it after helping take Pyke. Four years later he was killed by an arrow from a poacher. So it was given to Lord Muckity Muck, who lasted six years and then drowned in a mud puddle. Lord Next Please had it for six months, then died of an allergic reaction. And so on and so forth, with maybe some early retirements, and people resigning because they are caught by the King, and Thatcher doing unfortunate things with a goat. So by the time the game starts it is vacant, and people whisper about it.
Citadel and College will be working against each other. Hard Core. But the College no longer has "Maesters" They just call themselves Sages, or Scholars or Professors. What ever sounds the best.
Dorne will be quiet I guess... with Ariadne in charge down there I do not want to throw anything big at her until she is on more often or we know she has some one to help her run it. Ya know.
When Thatcher died his network splintered, and he had Thirteen Lieutenants when he was murdered. Four died because they were in the same room as the Straw Man when it happened.
Now the Straw Man has powers, he can look into some one's heart and see the truth. He does not feel pain the same way most people do, and he is inhumanely good with his blade. He radiates fear and cold, but not to a degree that hurts, just intimidates people. The only human he ever respected/Feared was Thatcher, so he worked for him, but when he died he was let of his cage. Now he is just a lone assassin, and murderer. He takes job not to make money but because he needs to kill. He worked over seas for awhile, but he always comes back to Westeros. No real plans for him yet, but he is a joker in the deck.
As for the rest of Thatcher's brood, a couple got jobs for other people. But three got together, the Miller, the Baker, and the Seamstress and they formed a large organized crime band. Not spies truly, but crooks, their organization spreads from Dorne and Oldtown to Lannisport, and the rebuilding King's Landing. The call themselves the Three Heads, and their sigil is three heads of a dragon. I think we can use them for minor bad guys. They have been trying to roll all crime under their control. Their strengths are Banditry, Extortion, Smuggling, and they run an assassination guild.
The Miller is based out of Oldtown, and also runs the Lannisport auspices. He was just a base born spy who worked for Thatcher now he lives on ships, and has manors and yachts in both cities. Smuggling and sailing are his specialties.
The Baker was Lord Musgood master of Coins. He used his connections to help organization flourish. Now with his death a couple years back, his son has taken over the King's Landing plots, and plans to move into Gulltown soon. He also used his connections with the army to recruit men who could not lay down their arms to become bandits, and street toughs. Once that supply ran out they started a couple of secret orphanages based on your ideas to train their criminals. Most of their orphanages are across the narrow sea. But the lessons are all taught in Westorosi.
The Seamstress was another baseborn spy. You actually met her once. She fetched you to met with your dad. Well she posed as a rich Pentoshi merchant, and helped pay for the rebuilding of Sunspear, and married a minor Dorish Lord. She is connected through out Dorne, and controls the operations across the Narrow Sea. She is the one in charge of the assassin guild, and the only one of the Three who is brave enough to met with the Straw Man.
The one other surviving member of Thatcher's cabal was a man called the Miner. Behind Thatcher, and the Straw Man, the Miner was always the most feared of Thatcher's agents. A pale man who was at one time a Maester's apprentice, and also claims to have been sent to the wall, and fought the others. He also claims to have trained with the Children of the Forest, the Warlocks, the Red Priests, and The Shadow binders of Ashhai. Whether these are all lies, or all truths he knows more about the Higher Mysteries then any other of Thatcher's agents. He is the one who plotted out Thaddues path to immortality. Never confirmed there are rumors he has control of dark Magicks and evil artifacts. He plays up these Rumors, but so few know of his existence that it hardly matters.
What is known, by you and me, is he has Aurora's son, and he has the three dragon eggs that were lost in Dorne. I want him to have done something to them, and have created some bizarre dragonspawn under his control. They are in Dorne deep under the desert so we can work out exactly what they are as we go.
The son of Piers and Aurora is going to be a major villain. Working with this madman who wants to burn the world. He is classically handsome, smart as hell, death with a blade, and a leader of men, and general of high abilities. But he was raised underground, and has no proof of his claims. This is my plot for him, he rises from obscurity as an amazing Dornish Knight, we can RP the shit out of him, make people think he is your Osney Santagar Redux when he is really hell-walking-in-flesh. We can decide if he knows magic he has a teach. Ohhh... maybe his plot should be they are trying to transfer their minds into the dragons, and they need buckets of Targaryen blood to do it. Just a though. Any way he is going to joining the King's guard if he can. And infiltrate it. So we can work him up from nothing to a bad ass. I may rig this first tourney for him. Him fighting as a mystery knight and going far, and then he takes off his mask, and no one knows him, and he is a hedge knight from Dorne, people can bid for his service, but his eye is on the Targ white cloaks. But he has to earn that.
Also it occurred to me that Brine Farwynd had three dragon eggs sitting on a shelf in his cabin when he and Ragnor (Two strong souls surely) and a thousand more Ironborn were incinerated. So it would it not be cool if they eggs were given the spark of life at that moment, and then they "drowned" into the sea. I am thinking of some kind of Drowned Dragon haunting the waters of the Iron Islands... we can add into the history that they are falling away because they are afraid of all the ships that have been sinking regularly. We can make the dragons have an affinity for Ironborn so they are going after the new weak Ironborn, and the shipping along the coast.
Also the College is nefarious of course. They study magic, but only because they are disgusted by it. They have a hypothesis that if the Dragon's are removed that Magic could fade entirely from the world. So they are plotting the end of the dragons. And magic as awhole. They also preform awful experiments. Mengeli type stuff... lets see what happens when we sew a extra hand on this man's face.
