Talyn looked taken aback, "You understand that any deceit or equivocation on any point, now, or in the future, would put you immediately outside the Queen's peace and you'll be executed. If you attempt to escape, or the like as well. But if you consent. Very well. I will have the proper papers drawn up."
Talyn knocked on the door, and two Traitors' Sons' enter. They unlatch Aaron Royce. Talyn watches the man's face carefully for any sign of mischief.

"How many more hostages do you need? You've already got my brother and my children as well, if they are not dead."

"You might be surprised by what I could endure, my lord," Aaron replied. "It will be as you wish," he added, nodding.

Talyn clicked his tongue.
"I see. I will have paper brought. You will write letters to all of your lords, telling them what we've agreed to. In the mean time, I'll have some bedding brought in and some books if you like," Talyn said.

"One of your men took the ring with my seal," Aaron said dryly. "The Lords of the Vale might not truly believe it is I who write without it."

"A man with your seal will be sent to help stamp them. Its not as if I won't be reading them all first in any case, so sealing them shall need to wait." Talyn replied.

"Of course, my lord. I do not need any books, but I will ask instead for news outside of the Vale and Riverlands, of late," Aaron said a little hopefully.

Talyn nodded, "I'll provide such news as it may become available, Aaron."

Aaron nodded sagely, and leaned against the wall, his eyes slowly beginning to droop closed.

Talyn departed.
ooc: for the record, Talyn is just saying that about the News. You won't receive any news unless Talyn brings it to you specificly.

Aaron's cell door opened and he was momentarily blinded by the sudden appearance of a bright light. Although he coudln't see he could hear a familiar voice. It was the queen.
"So the mighty have fallen," she said. "I'll wager you don't care for your accommodation, ser."

Aaron shrugged. "I've lived in worse," he said somewhat flippantly. "Seems an odd place for a Queen, though," he added, looking up at where her voice was coming from.

"Yes," Rhaenys answered.
She was silent for a moment then moved the candle to one side so the light wasn't directly in his face.
"had you been less stubborn, you might have spared us both a great deal of trouble."
