Dacey gazed at him for a moment, and the smiled and inclined her head meekly. "Of course, Your Grace. Which twenty would you like?" The black-haired one who had served him ale winked at him, while the slender beauty with cascading chestnut curls gazed at the young prince with limpid brown eyes and a pouting little mouth. Others were also trying to attract his attention in little, subtle ways. "I would be delighted to join you for a time," Dacey exclaimed. "Would that please my lord prince?" Rodrick nods, "I will go now and out the back. The King's men won't let me have any fun. Met me at the The Fish's Ass down by the docks in an hour." He steps towards the door and stopped, Turning to look at Erik and Dacey he points his finger, "I may be a child, but one day I will be the finest sword in the word. Do not betray me." Nodding he glides from the inn.

Aerie's entire body visibly stiffened. Her sword was a part of her now, and the prospect of something tearing it away from her... "If you think about it, your Grace, are you not doing the same thing in using your word as King to do what seems right and proper to you?" "Lady Aerie I plan to take your sword and give it back to its proper honor. My father took it because he wanted a special blade for himself." Rickon paused before finishing, "And because he wanted the novelty of a beautiful Headsmistress with a magic sword. I understand why you are disappointed, but right is right."

Brandon plays a merrier tune and begins to sing the song the knight had requested.
After finishing the song he asks for some ale to moisten his throat, spots the Lady Aranya Royce and the King and makes his way over.
He bows "Good day King, how fares your lessons," he sais in the tounge of the Summer Islands.

Rickon looks to Brandon and nods politely, "They go well sir. Thank you for the inquiry."

"That is good, when you are ready to start learning another one I am sure that I can be of service," Brandon smiles.

Aranya looked at the singer curiously. He seemed oddly familiar. "I don't think we've met," she said to Brandon. "Yet I think we do." He had a strong Redfort look to him.

"I am Brandon Stone, I am not very well known here yet though. You might have seen me before, but if you recognise me from that I wouldn't be doing my job properly. It is still always a pleasure meeting more family. You were anounced as Lady Royce were you not?" Brandon smiled.

"Oh, you were in the Council weren't you?" Aranya smiled. "And any Stone is a friend of mine; I am indeed Lady Royce, but I was born Aranya Stone. Sit down, and tell me from which House's tree you fell from, bastard fruit. What do you drink?" She called over a barmaid.

"I will have some ale, thank you. I was in the council yes, though I doubt any of importance recognised me for who I was. As for the tree I fell from, well Howland Royce was my father, that would be the cousin of Lord Odhar, he had a Redfort mother I think"

"Royce and Redfort eh?" Aranya said, as the maid set down tankards before them. "Good combination. My sister was a Royce with a Redfort mother - the Redforts are a fine family, and one of the few with First Men blood like House Royce.
"You seem to be a man of many talents. I liked your songs earlier, but I don't think that's the only way you spend your time," she twinkled.

"Ah I must admit that playing the harp is just a passion of mine, in my younger days in Braavos I was often engaged in a duel or two. Though I do my best to avoid outright fighting now a days. The last time I practiced with a sword was at the Gates of the Moon, against an arrogant squire and Ser Tytos of the Kingsguard," Brandon chuckled.

"What took you to Braavos?" Aranya asked, as a serving wench laid on the table a platter of hot quince dumplings with sweet golden syrup over them.

Brandon blinked. "I was born there actually. My mother was from Quarth you see, but due to some.. trouble she was forced out of the city". Brandon tried one of the dumplings and hummed in satisfaction. "I just got to Westeros slightly before the battle outside the city gates, before the coup took place that is"

"Lucky you," Aranya said dryly, pouring extra syrup on her dumplings as she ate them. "I missed the whole thing and am still trying to decide if it was a good thing or not. Considering I have to retake my castle now, mayhaps it was a bad thing. Would you like to join us on our march to Duskendale?"

OOC: Aranya, is your presence in House Avalon known to others? I have a character who is about to seek you out and I want to know where he'd be sent.
