Long Tom enters the common room from upstairs and orders an ale. He looks around for other patrons.

The Inn was rundown. There are three men at three different tables. All seem engrossed with their cups.

Tom approached one of the tables and sat down. "Good day." He said with a nod.

"A pleasent day is it not?" Tom asked, taking a swig from his ale. "Nothing better than sitting im a tavern with good company."

The man mumbled something about good company being no company but if a man is going to interrupt a fellow drinking the least he could do is buy a round.

Tom chuckled and ordered two more ales. "It's nice drinking by yourself but I find it gets really interesting with company." He put a hand in his pocket. "Do you dice?"

The man looked up, and Tom could hear he was half full of ale. "I do... I do. Throw some coppers?" He pulled a dice cup from his pocket and laid it on the table.

Tom took out a few coppers of his own and put the dice in the cup, shaking it. "Let's see if lady luck is with me today." He slams the cup down and lifts it.

He beats the other man in the first toss. The man grumbles and gets more coins from his pockets. He begins licking his lips in excitement.

Tom puts his bet on the table. "Your turn, friend." He says, eyeing the dice. "Say, what is your name?"
