The large island of Tarth lies east of Storm’s End at the edge of Shipbreaker Bay. It controls the Straits of Tarth between the island and the continent. The island is said to be very beautiful, "with its mountains and waterfalls, its high meadows and shadowed vales." It is also called the 'Sapphire Isle,' for the striking blue seas in which it sits.
Evenfall Hall is on the west side of the island, slightly inland built on a rise.

Aegon Targaryen and his bride arrive at Tarth and immediately proceed to Evenfall Hall. Aegon is acclaimed as Lord Protector of Tarth, in the right of his wife Myrcella, their heiress of Tarth.

Aurane Velaryon arrives in Tarth with a number of men and ships. After he meets with his uncle to hand over the men he returns to the Crownlands and from there to Kings Landing.

Aegon Targaryen receives a raven from his nephew detailing the Ironborn treachery at Kings Landing. As his fleet had nearly completed its' preparations, it is able to finalise these quickly. The fleet sails soon after.
