Ragnor steps into the room and shuts the door behind him.
"Yes, Your Grace?" He asks simply.

"Lord Greyjoy," Rhaenys aid, with none of the warmth she'd shown him once. "What are you doing here? I did not expect to see you in Gulltown."

He shrugs. "Farwynd and I were invited. Figured I may as well make the stop on my way home. Farwynd's waiting, rather impatiently, for you, by the way."

"Oh yes, and why is that?" Rhaenys asked.

Ragnor is plainly confused by the question. "Because you requested his presence in the capital, and he's a restless man to begin with?"

"Gulltown is not the capital," Rhaenys said. "You do realise that Farwynd has disobeyed orders by coming here without my permission?"

A loud laugh bursts out of Ragnor's mouth. "He's still there, waiting for you. I said we were invited, but Dayne only permitted me to leave. Perhaps my wording was unclear."

"It was," Rhaenys agreed. "I thought you meant he'd come in search of me. So, you are here in the hopes I will go back to Kings Landing so your friend can be released from the city?"

"My captain, not my friend. Lords should not have friends. But yes, that, and seeing just what Lannister was doing here. You'll recall I once offered to help you when another was plotting against you, is it such a reach that my intentions were similar this time?"

In light of certain developments with the Ironborn she was worried about Greyjoy's involvement with Farwynd, though she did want to consider him loyal.
"No, it is something I did not consider, that's all. Tell me how you plan to help me," she said.

"Didn't have much in the way of plans." Ragnor answers simply. "Playing it by ear is my usual policy. Worked well enough for my father. Now, my grandfather, he plotted and schemed from time to time, and look where it got him in the end. Best to take things as they come, I think."

""i see, but it's foolish of you to have come if you cannot offer particular assistance," Rhaenys commented. "Otherwise you are nothing more than a hanger on in my court."

Ragnor's lip curls. "Respectfully, queen though you are, recall that you are speaking to the King of Salt and Rock. I am no fucking hanger-on. I came to see what was happening. If you could stand to gain by something I hear, it may find its way to your ears. Though if this is the kind of reception I get, odds are more likely I'll sit at Pyke and let these rebels do as they please."

Rhaenys bit her lip in frustration and made herself smile at him.
"You misunderstand me," she said. "I merely meant that your presence here may be thought odd by some. The situation has changed somewhat since I first made plans to come here. It looks very ill that you have now come."
