"Likewise," she lied smilingly. "How is my Lord Paramount of the Riverlands?"

"He is quite well," Frey said with a smile, "is there perchance something available to drink, or will this be a meeting of the most seriousness?" Frey asked, intertwined his long fingers as if seeking to portray the very model of patience.

She poured strongwine into a silver goblet and handed it to him.
"I wuold not have you go thirsty, Lord Frey."
Her own goblet matched his own but was already full. Rhaenys took a sip.
"This is no light-hearted matter but that is no reason not to enjoy a drink," she said.

"Oh? And I had so hoped for a social occasion, there has been preciously few of them since your grace ascended to the throne. What seems to be the matter your grace? And how can your Lord Paramount be of assistance?"

"By telloing me what business you had here in the Eyrie. I assume that was not a social call either?"

Frey raised a thin, well groomed eyebrow, and crossed one leg over the other, putting his interlaced hands on his knee.
"Well now, how could I miss a gathering with such a distinguished guest list?" He asked.

"Quite easily, I imagine. You do realise that the nature of the gathering, and the calibre of the guests invited gives me some cause for concern?"

Frey slacked his shoulders in what might be taken for a shrug, "Has your grace heard some evil rumor which distresses her?"

"No, but I mislike the notion that my most powerful lords are gathering without me, espeically when most of those lords have given me cause for concern in the past. I fear that such meetings are a hindrance to my reign."

Frey sipped his wine, and didn't say anything for sometime, before finally murmuring, "How so?"

"It gives the impression that something is amiss, that you might all be a threat to me. I do not wish to believe that is the case, however."
She paused.
"i would like to be certain I have nothing to worry about."

"What would make your grace feel more certain?" Frey asked casually.

"To begin with I would prefer to see fewer clandestine activities and more loyalty from my lords."
